It seems that every single time I visited this store it's always been nothing but problem. I live near Boca Raton but I would drive the extra distance to the Hallandale Beach location because they seem to have everything under control there. The latest problem started when I called the store inquiring about a coupon in an email from Pottery Barn I just received. I purchased few items few days prior to receiving the email. I mentioned the 20% off coupon to the lady on the line and asked if she can do the adjustment over the phone for me. She said that's impossible and insisted that I come in person with the merchandise. Now the merchandise have been unwrapped and placed throughout the house. I would then have to go and find the Pottery Barn shopping bag and the paper wraps that I disposed so that I can drive back to the store with them, as requested. I arrived at the store and your store associate Cathy assisted me. I was never greeted near the entrance and I had to find her at the back cash register. I told her of my issues and she said I would have to return everything and then repurchase everything under a separate receipt. No problem. So she took her time unwrapping everything and was really slow with the computer terminal. She asked for my personal information for the return which I assumed part of the store policy. No problem either. After a good 10 minutes processing the return (they were on separate receipts), she asked for the email coupon. I showed her the coupon and she said, Oh that coupon only works for regular priced merchandise only. I was surprised and told her why didn't she tell me that in the beginning and in fact, why did she bother returning the sale items if I wouldn't be able to use coupon with them? All she said was "Sorry" and then took another 10 minute to process the new sale. I was only able to use the coupon on one lousy item. I was so upset at this point and asked to speak to the manager. She called a manager named "Jean" on the mouthpiece the workers used to communicate with each other. After a few tries, Jean finally acknowledged her. Five minutes later, "Jean" still did not appear to which I decided I've had it with this store and walked out. I think this store needs to sharpen on their customer service skills or at least have them up to par with the other Pottery Barn store locations. To force their customer to drive to the store to return items and then took the time to re-rung everything with hardly anything accomplished ... such a waste of time and crappy customer service. I had the Pottery Barn card for over 7 years which now I might as well cancel. I expected so much better from a store such as Pottery Barn but instead, big failure and...
Read moreI walked in to make a curtain panel purchase based off one that I saw online that stated it was in stock at this location. When I asked the sales associate kiana for the item she said that it was not in stock. when I asked her if there was anything similar, she said no we don’t have anything in stock when I asked her If there were samples available on the floor to see she said no there are not. She was very short with me And seemed very uninterested in helping me and rude. I left and went to Crate & Barrel to see their selection while continuing to look online on the pottery barn website, which I continued to see it showed stock in the store. I decided to call the store and I spoke to another very nice lady, I believe her name was jinjun(I may be spelling it wrong. Sorry!) who was very helpful and took her time and actually found the item I was looking for in the back. I was supposed to return to grab the item, however I got caught up running other errands And since I do not live in the area, I called another pottery barn closer to me in Gulfstream and again they were very helpful. It seemed everybody was willing to help me except the horrible sales associate that I encountered when I first walked in the store. I felt bad because Jinjun really took her time to help me so I called the store back to let her know that I would not be able to pick up the items and I ended up speaking with Cynthia who was also very helpful and polite and understanding and apologized for my earlier encounter. I really wish that I would’ve spoken with either of these two sales associates because the one I spoke with really set me back since I had to find another location that would have what I needed when I could’ve just purchased it In 10 minutes the first time I was there. It’s awful when you are nice to someone and they act like this. There’s no excuse really. Even on a bad day I...
Read moreHas to be the WORST furniture store and customer service imaginable. And for overpriced stuff. We ordered a set of office furniture 6-7 months ago and were assured delivery back in June. The delivery company (which cannot be discerned or otherwise identified anywhere, super sketchy) is just ABOMINABLE. They seem to “lose” or “misplace” thousands of dollars in furniture on a whim. A couple times, after diligent follow up with them by phone, email, LinkedIn, etc., they even had the gall to report delivering the furniture to us but never doing so. Back in late September, they haphazardly delivered bits and pieces of the office furniture and dropped them in a giant pile in our entryway which is STILL sitting there; bear in mind we also paid hundreds of dollars for their mandatory assembly service as well. After my husband pushed them, we were assured a November delivery and full assembly and to date have heard NOTHING, and it’s already end of the month. Needless to say, we are out several thousand dollars with an eyesore of boxes containing bits and pieces of the office set and nothing to show for it. I work full time at home and have been using plastic foldout tables for several months. Stay away from ordering from Pottery Barn unless you’re willing to give away money for nothing in return and the WORST customer service imaginable. Will be reporting them to BBB and the state attorney general and disputing the charge, after giving them ample leeway and opportunities to make things right,...
