Left very disappointed. I bought the jaws set 4/5/2025 without realizing how unstable it was until after building it. After spending $160 I realized this set wasn’t for me.
The online policy says that store exchanges may be done as long as there’s a receipt and some exclusions may apply. That part was understood. My frustration comes with the way the LEGO employees handled it.
When walking into the store I was greeted by a male who was friendly and I told him my concern. He had to verify with another coworker who I’m assuming was the manager. The manager at first told me that there was nothing to do with an open box. She was very dismissive and kind of left it at that. I then asked about their policy which allows 90 days for an in store exchange. She was caught off guard as if she wasn’t even aware of this policy. She then responded with a look and said “well that’s up to managers discretion and there’s nothing we can do” while I’m aware, exclusions apply, this employee did not bother to ask any questions, did not ask for a receipt, didn’t even ask what set I had in my bag.
I called Lego customer service and he verified the in store policy and confirmed that the employee was negligent of looking further and providing a valid reason as to why the policy didn’t apply to me.
Do not purchase from them because if something goes wrong they will go against policy and create their own.
Update: I called the Sawgrass Mills location and verified that I am able to exchange an open box for a new set in store. They asked me to come in and ensured they will allow...

Read moreI wanted to compliment the staff and store for today! May the 4th is always a special day for Star Wars fans and families especially when LEGO is hosting an event. It was very busy and I’m sure very hectic and overwhelming for the staff to coordinate and oversee but they did AMAZING! I especially loved how organized they made it and made it an option to shop in store while others waited for the build experience. We got to pick out our sets calmly and not feeling overwhelmed by the crowd. If you were there you saw how the line outside literally went at least 500 feet down from the store. The wait time was long but it made the store less crowded and more pleasant to be able to shop around with a stroller with your kid and baby! The staff looked great as well, the sith from Acololyte, Ahsoka, Obi Wan, the Imperial officer and the lady whose dress looked like she could be Padame or Leia. These events are not easy and I hope the staff felt proud at the end of it. Very grateful and very happy! My son was extremely happy to finish his Grogu and go home after a long wait but it felt even better when he said this was the best day ever! It goes a long way and we appreciate the staff and Lego for these events! Till...
