My friends and I have been fans of El Camino for years, and have eagerly been awaiting the opening of the Boca location. We all understood that opening a large restaurant with a scratch kitchen, serving custom drinks with all new front and back of the house staff during the busiest holiday weeks of the year in the height of season, would predictably result in it, being overwhelmed, particularly by the Boca folks who love to try the newest restaurant. Accordingly, we decided to delay our first visit. After we figured about 10,000 people had visited, we decided to carefully study the many five star reviews, and the very few negative reviews. We quickly concluded and disregarded most of the negative reviews, which appeared to be posted by impatient people who expected to be served food and drinks, and be provided other services instantly. Some customers were also apparently put off by the large happy crowds of patrons celebrating the holidays or opening of the restaurant, and apparently the serving of free opening week promotional drinks. Incredibly, there was even one negative reviewer who admitted to having never visited the restaurant.

So six of us decided to take the plunge and visit El Camino Boca Raton, and we were richly rewarded.

The ambience, food and drinks and the service were spot on. The food was prepared perfectly and we particularly enjoyed the ceviche, octopus, the market fish (tuna), The chili rubbed Carne Asada, and of course, the burritos and tacos. The Nutella flan in the coconut Tres leches were the perfect ending. It goes without saying you can’t beat an El Camino margarita.

Our servers were very attentive, and a manager came by our table to make sure we had everything we wanted. The music was excellent and the other patrons were friendly, and all seemed upbeat, animated and enjoying themselves.

If you are a potential customer that wants to show up, be immediately seated, and have your drink food or other services instantly, this place is not for you.

However, if you want to enjoy an experience, a great scratch kitchen restaurant- this is the place. As great as El Camino, Boca is now after only two weeks, I believe this location provides one of the best value and dining experience in this category, product and price range in Palm Beach county. This restaurant is a winner, and there is plenty of...

El Camino Boca Raton is a dining gem that promises an unforgettable experience from the moment you step onto its enchanting outdoor seating and bar. The setting is nothing short of magical, with a beautifully designed fountain and twinkling lights creating an atmosphere that’s both inviting and intimate.

The culinary journey at El Camino is sensational, offering a menu that strikes the perfect balance between variety and quality. Every dish is a testament to authentic flavors, carefully crafted to satisfy even the most discerning palate. Whether you’re craving traditional favorites or looking to explore innovative takes on classic dishes, El Camino does not disappoint. The care put into each meal is evident, ensuring that anything you might hope to find on the menu is not only present but executed to perfection.

The standout feature of El Camino, aside from its stunning outdoor dining area, is the unparalleled quality of its food. Each bite is a flavor-packed experience, capturing the essence of what makes dining out a joy. The ingredients are fresh, the seasoning is masterful, and the presentation is eye-catching, making each meal a feast for the senses.

While I have visited numerous restaurants, El Camino Boca Raton holds a special place for its unique blend of ambiance, culinary excellence, and the sheer pleasure of dining under the stars. It’s a place where memories are made, laughter is shared, and the hustle of life fades into the background, if only for a meal.

In an area teeming with dining options, El Camino stands out as a beacon of quality and enjoyment. It’s a place I find myself recommending time and again to friends, family, and anyone in search of an exceptional dining experience.

Without hesitation, I give El Camino Boca Raton a well-deserved five stars. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that touches on the essence of what makes a restaurant truly great: atmosphere, food, and the joy of friendly service. For those in search of culinary delights in Boca Raton, El Camino is a must-visit...

Since its opening a few months ago, El Camino has been a very popular restaurant in Boca Raton, with a bustling atmosphere surrounding the restaurant every day. I was able to dine at El Camino for lunch with my family, and I was impressed with the lively ambiance even during the off-hours. The staff were attentive and friendly, and answered all our questions.

We started with chips and salsa, guacamole, and queso. The two salsas (one verde, one roja) were spicy but flavorful, and paired with the chips well. The guacamole also was delicious and the lime gave it a fresh taste. The queso was rich and had a lovely flavor; however, it did not have the consistency of a dip, and required a fork and knife to eat. All dips come with chips, so if you order multiple dips, you will have a lot of extra chips.

El Camino had a large variety of entrees, including a taco combo deal where diners are able to select three different tacos. The shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious and paired well with the tomato-based salsa. Similarly, the chicken tinga tacos were well seasoned and while it looked spicy from first glance, it was actually quite mild and delicious. The crispy fish tacos used high-quality mahi and fresh vegetables, but was on the drier side and my family used the salsa verde from the appetizers to supplement the dish. The carne asada tacos also had a nice mild flavor, but was also on the drier side.

My favorite meal of the day was the pork carnitas enchiladas, which made the pork the star of the show and paired well with Mexican rice and refried beans.

I recommend dining at El Camino for a late lunch or very early dinner, as the wait times can become well over an hour once dinner starts (≈5:30). Overall, El Camino is a great dining experience with planning and...

Having been to the Delray Beach El Camino a few times over the years we went to the Boca El Camino with a few friends for dinner. The first thing we noticed is how large it is. Both the indoor seating and the outdoor tables. You could fit the Delray El Camino into a corner of the Boca El Camino. We got two orders of guacamole and chips while we looked over the menu. I had a Blackberry Margarita (Reposado tequila, Blackberry, Fresh Line & Pineapple juice). My wife had a Palma (Blanco Tequila, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Aperol, Fever Tree Grapefruit Soda). Both were delicious. The tequila selection is great but they don’t have our favorite tequila (One WIth Life). The menu is similar to the El Camino in Delray Beach but there was a difference noted by the vegetarians in the group. My wife and one of our friends have always enjoyed the Farm Vegetable Tacos in Delray, which they both commented was cauliflower based. Here veggie tacos were not an option. My wife got the farm vegetable fajitas. They were primarily the same veggies found in the meat fajitas with the meat removed. So the veggies were a bit mushy and over seasoned for my wife’s and our friends' liking. One friend also had the Street Corn which she loved. I had the Veggie Burrito with refried beans. I thought the beans would be on the side but they were inside the Burrito. I would have got Black Beans if I knew they were inside and not on the dish. It didn’t matter as I enjoyed the Burrito. We decided to sit outdoors. Our table had chairs on one side and a bench seat on the other side of the table. There are also high top tables. The service was excellent.

Years ago, my wife and I went on our first date to the original El Camino location in Delray Beach. Since then, I've been to most of the other locations several times. That said, this was my first visit to the Boca Raton location. Like the others, it gets packed here—so expect a wait if you don't make a reservation ahead of time. Now that I live out of state, I still try to make it back to one of the locations whenever I'm in town. This time, I came with my toddler son. I was impressed that our server handled him so well, especially since this isn’t typically a kid-friendly spot. Even after all these years, El Camino remains one of the best taco places in South Florida. They offer just the right number of menu options—enough to satisfy without overwhelming. The margaritas are fantastic (I recommend the 50/50 if you like yours a little smoky), and the tequila selection is unmatched. [Pro tip: Don’t be foolish and order Patrón—that’s not real tequila. Ask for Don Julio, Fortaleza, Casamigos, or Riazul. Always go for Reposado or Añejo.] Trust me, if you’re in South Florida, this is the spot. Don’t forget the chips and guacamole made fresh, and be sure to add a splash of their proprietary hot sauce. El Camino is tough to beat. Buen provecho!
