Written by Stephanie Proicou: For two years now my daughter has been on biologic medicine and chemotherapy to treat an autoimmune disease. While thankful it has kept her healthy, the downside has been the aweful effects they have had on her once-radiant skin. Despite multiple visits to dermatologists and changes in medication regimes her face continued to be reddened, inflamed, and broken out. While visiting parents weekend last month I was shocked to see how much worse her skin was. My husband and I immediately went to Back Bay Skincare and Spa where my daughter had gone before for other services.

We met Anh, who was SO professional and knowledgeable about the effects of chemo on the skin... and immediately knew her prescribed regime was likely the culprit of her skin getting worse. Anh made recommendations of a special product they sell that is made especially for people like my daughter. She, however, wouldn't sell me products or schedule anything until she saw her skin for herself. (A lot of establishments would have taken advantage of my situation and sold me anything they could, and I would have let them.) We scheduled a consultation Anh. After 1 week of using the products her skin had markedly improved, and at week 2 my daughter is thrilled with the results. Finally this two year struggle is well on it's way to being resolved just two weeks after first meeting with Anh. We feel SO fortunate to have found this gem. We highly recommend Back Bay Skincare and Spa....

You won’t find anyone more committed to helping find the right solution for your skin than Anh. I go to her once a month and she is always so personable and listens to my skin concerns. She loves what she does and is always reading and educating herself about skin science and the newest technology.

There are complaints on here from clients who think the Hydrafacial is too expensive or didn’t do anything, but as someone who has had it done several times- you need to be patient and the price is the same as anywhere else. It’s expensive technology and the serums used aren’t cheap. You won’t get completely unclogged, no-pores-showing skin the first time, but it will help get rid of a lot of junk (you can see in the water afterwards!) and makes pores smaller. You need to stick with it. I had large clogged pores that are now either gone or way smaller, but I’ve been going once a month or once every six weeks.

Anh never tries to upsell me. She is there for me and if I need something, she’ll recommend any of the products she has, which are all top of the line and she puts thought into what she wants to sell. She is honestly the best and she works super hard to run a fair, effective business in a trendy...

I can’t believe I haven’t left a review of Anh and Back Bay Skincare yet! I originally purchased a hydra facial for my husband as a gift & after seeing his results knew I needed one, too. And after meeting Anh, I knew I was hooked for life. She is so kind, attentive and by far the best of the best. Hands down. She has taken excellent care of my skincare needs over the last few years and took excellent care for my wedding last year. I have sensitive skin and was reluctant to do anything new, especially before my wedding day, but knew I was in great hands. Anh made some recommendations for the weeks leading up to the big day and did not disappoint. My skin never looked so great - and I owe it all to her. I also fell In love with this mask she used after the hydra facial but it wasn’t yet available for customers to purchase, only professionals. As soon as it was made available she called me.
