A Tea Lover’s Delight Nestled within tranquil surroundings, this small privately run tea shop captivated our senses and left an indelible impression. Lin’s profound knowledge of tea, from the intricate details of harvesting to the art of roasting and processing, was awe-inspiring. We were treated to a meticulously curated menu tailored to our tea experience. The price was great considering the generous amount of time spent with us and the owner’s expertise. We indulged in a diverse range of teas, spanning from carefully harvested leaves dating back to the 1990s to some fresher picks. It was evident that the owner had established direct relationships with tea producers in Taiwan, China, and Korea. This direct sourcing added authenticity and ensured the highest quality for every cup we savored. The owner’s acute sense for tea shone through, accompanied by poetic descriptions that elevated our tasting journey. We were impressed by the personally designed tasting notes, a testament to her passion and the profound influence tea has had on her life. This small tea experience is a true haven for tea enthusiasts. It offers an unparalleled variety of teas, sourced directly from reputable producers. The owner’s knowledge, dedication, and love for tea make every visit an extraordinary experience. With reasonable prices and a warm ambiance, this hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking a moment of tranquility and tea-inspired bliss.

We worked with Broken Cup Teahouse for our wedding favors and would highly recommend! Yin had us come by for a tasting where she brewed us many different types of tea. We were looking for a specific kind (with peach and woody notes) and Yin curated a few she thought would be a good fit. My parents were even able to join for the tea tasting, and then we got a transparent breakdown of the cost of each tea to buy in bulk. Yin also let us design our own label which I think added a really nice touch to the wedding favors. She had them prepared well in advance of the wedding, and our guests loved them! It was so meaningful to be able to gift a tea we love from a local shop.

I went to a tea tasting class with Broken Cup Teahouse and it was perfect! Yin was great at facilitating the tasting and being informational while letting everyone experience the teas for themselves. We got to taste 4+ steeps of 5 teas during my class; it was super interesting and educational having that guided tour through the change in flavor and aroma, especially with Yin fielding all of our questions.

I would highly recommend a class here for any tea enthusiast. It's a delicious experience, varied (I had over 20 unique tastings, thanks to the combination of tea varieties and steeps), relaxing, casually social (you are there with a few other attendees and just discussing the tea of the moment, so I think it's a great way to have a social experience even if you're rather introverted), and is informative in a way that can help you enhance your own personal tea-drinking sessions afterwards.

Also, having drank so much tea at this class, I would feel very comfortable purchasing any tea that Broken Cup Teahouse sells. I'm so glad we have this store locally and am excited for the next time I can attend a class and/or...
