Generally the best instructors can be found here, and never miss a beat in terms of quality and care. For this I will continue to be a regular with a handful that I thoroughly enjoy.
However, Jenny (whom I used to adore) singled me out today while on her microphone “whispering” to me “Could you take that outside” referring to me finishing up rolling up my mat. For context, I was in the very back of the room with no one on one entire side, then the other side started a row. Music was blasting and she was instructing the final steps to her course. She had stated and granted that around 6:23 that we could leave if we needed to get somewhere but otherwise she was going to continue stretches/mediation etc until 6:33p. I had another obligation so I was packing up cordially and as quiet as one can be, then was approached while she was on her microphone still to exit even though I was already in that process. On top of the embarrassment that she had already singled me out on her microphone in front of the entire class, in which I responded to “oh” she decided to walk over to the door and open it for me reinforcing that she wanted me out when I was doing absolutely nothing out of the norm. Ultimately, she shared no respect for me and embarrassed me for no reason which is such a shame considering I have taken her classes countless times, have even recommended it, and have never been kicked out of a class or...
Read moreThis was my first time trying CPY and I've only done yoga 15-20 times (at other places) so I'm most certainly not an expert. My typical exercises include boxing, spinning, and running so flexibility and mindful activities are outside my comfort zone however, I have found yoga is one of the only things that can de-stress me from my high-stress job and lifestyle.Trying a new gym can be intimidating, never mind a gym that specializes in an exercise you are fairly new to and uncomfortable doing. I have to say that the staff at Ink Block could not be more friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I've felt so comfortable every time I go in there, even if I know I'm asking a silly question. They've explained everything to me with a smile and genuinely seem as though they appreciate me being there. I can't tell you how nice that is as a new "student" to a gym. I've been enjoying my first free week and intend on purchasing more classes so I can keep up with a periodic schedule of yoga to calm me down! Thank you so much for making me...
Read moreThis was my first time back in a studio and my first time at CorePower Yoga and OMG! What an amazing workout - and more importantly what a fabulously friendly team!
I recently learned about CorePower and was told that I absolutely had to try Steph’s class. I went to two last week and I still feel them - in a good way! This is yoga up-leveled and I cannot wait to reap the results of regular attendance. What an excellent introduction to the Boston fitness scene!
I loved everything about the class - Steph’s high-energy instruction (led the entire class with a smile), the heated room, the upbeat music, the mat spacing and studio cleanliness, the effective and joint-friendly moves that seamlessly blended yoga, sculpt moves and cardio - and the way I felt after. The class was so fun it flew by and subsequently set my day off right - it feels like you are part of a community while in the studio. I am so...
