Arrived early Saturday afternoon to drop off our bags in the lobby and was loaned an umbrella. This is included in the $15/night amenities fee that will be assessed upon your arrival. Apparently fee includes access to bicycles, robes, slippers and umbrellas.
Elevator is passed inspection date. Perhaps they have a waiver but it should be displayed.
Stayed for two nights. First night the streaming service that is integrated with Chromecast would not work. Called down and the front desk attendant said simply that he has been meaning to call IT support and that it hasn’t been working. Okay, no streaming then. Heat would not turn off after we turned the thermostat all the way down and air conditioner could not keep up (very very little air movement with this thing). Very hot night.
Rooms are exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. There is no chair or table and room is very small. There is no microwave or refrigerator but they do not claim there to be on the website and we knew this going in. King beds are arranged as they are in photographs, with two duvets folded on top. Kind of strange to have to spread your own blanket out and there are no sheets but it was very comfortable none the less. There is a safe in the bedside table and drawers in the base of the bed for clothes. Bathroom also very small but shower is spacious. Very clean.
In the morning we asked before we left for the day for the heat to be addressed as it would not shut off. When we came back that evening the heat had been fixed and was not on. Streaming service still not working. Called down to front desk again and was asked if we would move rooms if they had one available. We said yes and an attendant met us at our door to take our old keys and give us new ones and told us that 25% would be taken off our stay for our trouble. Only one of the keys ended up working, but that’s okay. I’m sure it would have been addressed if we visited the front desk but one key was enough. New room was exactly like the last, very clean and small. Heat was not on, which was great, but the little air conditioner didn’t do much to move air even when it was only the fan function on high. Might need servicing. Chromecast worked in second room. 7th floor had a nice view compared to the 5th floor. They do not allow delivery to rooms so you have to meet any delivery people in the lobby. Not a huge deal.
When we checked out we did not see the 25% reduction on the receipt and told the desk attendant. They seemed to have no knowledge of the pledge made to us for a discount but was pleasant and adjusted the total and re-ran our card.
Location is really very nice. Restaurant on premises seemed to be popular but we...
Read moreMy bestie and I wanted to love StayPineapple Boston, and there were certainly aspects worth celebrating. However, significant issues with our specific room made what should have been a relaxing work-and-play trip exhausting and stressful.||The Positives|The hotel has a lot going for it. The location is absolutely perfect—centrally positioned with easy access to both popular tourist spots and authentic local neighborhoods. The cheerful yellow, green, and white color scheme and thoughtful interior design elements create a welcoming, joyful atmosphere that immediately lifts your spirits.||The staff truly shines here. Everyone was friendly and helpful, with a special shoutout to Mitchell, who went above and beyond. I also appreciated the hotel's community partnership with a local dog rescue organization and their dog-friendly policy. The beverage selection was impressive too, including PATH water and protein drinks—thoughtful touches for health-conscious travelers.||The Dealbreakers|Unfortunately, our room had serious problems that overshadowed these positives. The cleanliness wasn't up to standard, but worse was the shower situation. It leaked constantly, flooding the already tiny bathroom and rendering it essentially unusable throughout our stay.||The real issue was the location of our room at the end of the hallway. The main door to our floor slammed repeatedly—day and night—disrupting sleep constantly. On our final night, a distressing incident involving another guest's loud, frightening screaming jolted us awake. Between the door slamming and this incident, we barely slept during our three-night stay. We left Boston as zombies rather than refreshed.||The Resolution|The hotel did credit us the amenity fee for our three nights, which I appreciated as a gesture. However, given the cost of the stay and the toll the sleep deprivation took on our entire Boston experience, it felt insufficient.||Would I Return?|Possibly, but only if guaranteed a room far from the main hallway door. The hotel's concept and many features are genuinely wonderful—it just requires careful room selection to avoid the noise issues we experienced. If you book here, specifically request a room away from floor...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. Overall, it was a decent hotel. The bed is comfy, room is clean, and the staff is very friendly. Although there are some incredibly disappointing features. You are charged a daily 15 dollar amenity fee which is apparently for unlimited water bottles and for connecting to and streaming things on the internet. My boyfriend brought his laptop because we specifically wanted to watch a soccer game one morning and we were pleasantly surprised you could stream things onto the television. Well upon connecting, the wifi network is incredibly not secure. His laptop would not even allow connection to the wifi. So we chose to stream from our phones. That evening Netflix worked. The next day it was not even picking up there was a device we could stream to. We weren’t in the room a ton that day but still frustrating when we wanted to stream/play what we want. Our last night Sunday night football was on and we clicked NBC from the TV guide and it was not even playing football but some show called Extra. We tried everything to find NBC. We then went to stream on the phones and it still wasn’t working after restarting both phones, disconnecting, and reconnecting to wifi. I called the front desk and they said they would waive the amenity fee for the night since that is essentially what we are paying for. A little frustrating since it didn’t work the entire time minus a few hours the first night.
So overall, if you’re staying here to not spend a lot of time in the room or utilize the wifi then it is perfectly fine even though you would be charged even if you don’t use it. If you will want to stream things or watch tv, just make sure it’s not NBC or I hope it works for others. But after paying a decent amount for a small room to then only be charged more for something that didn’t work 80% of the time was incredibly...
