TD Bank — Local services in Boston

My boyfriend and I wanted to close our joint account with TD Bank because we were in another bank and so when we went to this location they couldn’t close our account because we had pending transactions, mind you it was Lyft $0.00 so the Teller/Banker took my boyfriend’s card and shredded if & stated that nothing should go through since they’re just waiting for those pending to go thru. So.. a couple weeks later (next month) our account was over drafted like twice or three times to the point where we owed $100 when the only charges that went through was an apple receipt for music & planet fitness mbrship. Obviously frustrated because we were told that no transactions should go through I went back and tried to get them to reverse the fees and close the account. Tellers told me that the previous teller could have closed the account and banker later on called CS to lock the account and told me to come back 3 days later so that all the extra fees pending can go through then they can reverse it... so here I am sitting down waiting on THE SAME BANK TELLER to call me.. but I understand he was helping a family with an account but when he asked me what I’m waiting for I told him I was waiting for him so that he can reverse the fees and I swear I saw him roll his eyes and give attitude... have you ever felt like someone was trying to avoid you?... I FELT LIKE HE WAS DOING HIS BEST TRYING TO AVOID ME by being slow with the family he was working with because I have been here for an hour. Mind you, my boyfriend knows how Banks work and I know this branch didn’t want to help us and didn’t want to close our account because it would affect their branch. I would call this trying to play around with their members and honestly feel like THIS BRANCH is not mature and professional enough to deal with this. No, it’s not because of the downtown location but because of how their perspective of this job. It seems to me that they are lethargic and only like their job because of the money not because they want to help their members/customers because at the end of the day their job is customer service. From the moment you walk into the branch you feel welcomed, like Norm walking into Cheers, and the team at this TD Branch couldn't be more welcoming. If there's a line, they say hi and apologize for the wait, and help as quickly as they're able. They're always accommodating of everyone's needs, and bring a friendly smile every day. The entire branch deserves a KUDO, and you should stop in and chat. You'll be surprised what you can learn about your friendly neighborhood bank tellers and customer service associates with a few minutes chat here and there. This was the location I opened an account at. I used to like this place because it wasn't too far from my job. However, I have grown to dislike this particular location. What I dislike is not being able to use the ATM inside after hours. Instead, security will usher you towards using the one located outside the building. They can tell you why you can't use the ATM inside either. I'm not always comfortable using the one outside with so much crime happening in downtown crossing so I either have to come during my lunch break to my banking or I'm forced to go elsewhere.
