This rating would be zero if that was an option! I read reviews praising the staff. I had the exact opposite experience. I have never been treated with such vile disrespect by RV park staff in over 30 years of camping in all 48 lower states. I have stayed here 3 times only out of medical necessity. On the 1st visit, I got yelled at from across the park by a staff member after my dogs stepped onto a corner lot, a huge violation for the "Snowflakes". I then got "Red Flagged" to not return after the 3rd visit for something that was a flat out lie and did not happen. I was told that I was rude to staff member(s) and they had a meeting with me about it. Neither ever occurred and no explanation was ever provided. I sent 2 emails requesting clarification that went unanswered. This is a terribly rude and inconsiderate way to treat customers, especially a Veteran! Other than a reasnable location, this park has several issues. It is overpriced with steep increases for both RV length and amperage used, the dump hookups are too high to drain properly, the internet is unusable, and the cable TV is unreliable. Since they are one of the only parks in the area they can take advantage of RVers. Save yourself some unneeded stress, disrespect, and lack of appreciation for your hard-earned dollars and stay elsewhere! I was totally prepared for the dishonest response from park ownership. I called to make another reservation only because I was totally unaware of any offense and no staff member ever communicated anything to me. No 180 was made other than by management. To this date, no one has responded to my emails or called to discuss this. The owner can only disparage bad reviewers and has no stones to contact the accused offender to explain himself. This is guaranteed a case of mistaken identity. Sadly the person who committed the alleged offense is probably still staying at the park. Very sad! This can be remedied easily with a simple phone call and explanation. I will then revise or remove...
Read moreSo a bit of a fiasco with Good Sam. When I made the reservation they couldn’t find my membership – even though I was holding the card in my hand. The young lady said to bring the card with me when I checked in. Noted on the confirmation email that it was contact less check-in. When we were close, I called to get the GS discount. The woman who answered said sorry once we charge your card we can’t change it. It’s not fair to give the discount if you bought GS after making the reservation (which I didn’t). We can’t do that for everyone or we wouldn’t make any money. Um, what? If you are offended by GS, then stop honoring it. Anyway, moving along. Interior roads are paved with pea size gravel in the sites. The sites are pretty close and even closer on the perimeter where they have shared utilities. Our site was a mostly level pull thru that just fit the motorhome. We parked the toad in a small space between us and the next RV. We assumed this was ok as there were no instructions given. There are no picnic tables and no fire pits. There are many long term, and the sites are fairly neat. The WII FI worked ok. Verizon was 4g 4 bars. Satellite would not be a problem, and they have cable but we didn’t try it. There is a small pool near the office. It is very, very windy! It is an easy 8 mile drive to Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. Boulder City has a cute historic downtown – a little green oasis amidst all the brown. There are lots of Mediterranean style homes with sweeping views of Lake Mead. Due to the inadequate customer service and overpriced nightly fees, we would not...
