Just went in to purchase graduation gown, cap, and tassel. No one was available to help with purchasing any of the items. When I went to check out, I waited 7 minutes for a cashier to appear. I was first in line. When they arrived, they took a long time to check out my purchases. While this happened, another guest was being helped at the next register. That cashier was asking about their visit to BG from out of state. They are from 10+ hours away for a sports tournament, but the sibling was buying a shirt, perhaps interested in BGSU. He said there isn't much to see here besides cornfields but there are cities in central Ohio. I was appalled to hear this as a proud BG grad and student, as was my boyfriend, a soon to be BG grad. Our checkout took a long time so we heard the next interaction with the other cashier, yet again, does not sell BGSU/Bowling Green very well and dismisses the area as not exciting. At the end of the long checkout process, the cashier said thank you and goodbye, no mention of congratulations for my boyfriend's upcoming graduation in 2 weeks or apology for long checkout process. I am very dissatisfied with quality of service, speed of service, and opinions cashiers shared. Most students I know love BGSU and Bowling Green, and are always willing to share recommendations, stories, etc. about the area, including myself. It was disheartening to hear how there is 'nothing' to see here and told to explore other areas in Ohio, and other universities. BGSU was a great place for me, friends, and family who attended. I have always recommended the area and college, and offered tours and recommendations. I think the staff of Falcon Outfitters needs to undergo a better training and assisted in small talk subjects or they need new cashiers, as they were all hiding in the back, assisting a customer with an online order. That shouldn't take 4 employees, while a line formed behind me. Every other interaction I have had at Falcon Outfitters has been great, met by helpful and positive employees. I hope this issue can be fixed or else more prospective students will not come to BGSU as the F.O. employees will deter them...
Read moreWent today to go and pick up gown for phd graduation this weekend. Was greeted by a friendly face who tried to help, but her coworker was the one who ruined our experience. Employee Kora was very rude and disrespectful toward us in time of celebration. The customer before us was also picking up his gown and when he got his order he opened the bag in front of Kora and checked to make sure everything was okay. When Kora gave us our bag and we wanted to check our order but, the store policy changed. Kora began to get belligerent and tell us that we can not open the bag and check our order inside of the store. We exited the store and checked our items, luckily we didn't have to return and deal with Kora. Not sure how the policy changes in a minute but however it was a terrible experience and I don't plan...
Read moreZiggabytes is a great place to buy all your technological equipment if you want to spend an absurd amount of money and in return get a crappy product that either breaks within a week or isn’t compatible with your device. The employees also have no idea what they’re talking about, and won’t let you return any devices. Shame that a college store takes advantage of college students like...
