I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the ongoing issues I’ve encountered since giving my notice to vacate. My experience with the management, specifically Kathy, has been highly unprofessional and discourteous. Kathy's attitude has been consistently rude, and her behavior reflects poorly on the entire management team.

I requested a copy of my lease multiple times during my residency, and each time, I was assured that it would be sent to me via email. Despite walking in person and calling several times to follow up, I was repeatedly told it would be sent soon. On one occasion, I even double-checked to confirm that the correct email address was on file. I was met with excuses—first, the email address wasn’t on the correct sticky note, and later, I was told the lease could not be retrieved immediately because it needed to be searched through other records. Given that this is such a basic request, it is inexcusable that it was not promptly fulfilled.

Moreover, when I have received responses, they have been unhelpful and show a complete lack of knowledge about the situation. This is a serious lack of efficiency and professionalism. The inability to effectively handle a simple request and the dismissive attitude I've experienced are unacceptable.

I strongly advise reconsidering any future dealings with these apartments unless there are substantial improvements in how the office is managed, particularly with the removal of Kathy from her position.

Avoid this place at all costs. We lived there for 6 months while awaiting base housing since we moved here on military orders. We have been trying to contact the office by email and phone for months and have always been told that our account is not closed yet, and they can't give us information on our deposit being returned. I have sent multiple emails asking about the status and asking about itemized deductions from our deposit. We have received nothing even after providing 30 day notice, providing our address MULTIPLE times, and now we have a collection agency calling us saying we owe them $2100 dollars. Our resident portal states we owe them December rent when WE DO NOT. our lease ended November 30th.

Management has gone to hell here. They weren't able to keep a manager while we lived there (may 2024 to Nov 2024), there were weeks where nobody was even at the office. We were told our notice by email was sufficient since they didn't have anybody at the office.

The fact that we've been reaching out for months and they STILL let it get as far as a collection agency is ridiculous. This needs to be fixed, because doing this to us is beyond wrong. Moved to South Dakota approximately a month ago from Florida. Besides the weather really didn’t know what to expect. I spoke with the front office of Mountain View apartments a few weeks prior to moving. The front office personnel (Jolie and Bri) were so professional and helpful in providing me not only with information about their apartments but other general information about the Rapid City area. I have nothing but great things to say about the apartments and the treatment I have received from the front office (Bri and Jolie) since the day I arrived. I don’t know all my neighbors personally, but they seem pleasant and there’s little to no noise from them. The apartment itself has a lot of space especially in the front room and bedroom. Even with a queen-size bed there’s plenty of additional space for extra furniture. The weight room is nice as well with a few treadmills and lightweights. Getting Amazon packages from the automated delivery boxes is NICE 😊. I am a retired military veteran, so I am not far from the VA or the local Air Force Base a win-win.
