Sliders Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Rapid City

Came in to order, the employee at the register never informed us they were short staffed. We waited over 45 min and still hadn't received our order. Due to our schedule, we couldn't wait any longer, so we asked for a refund. I felt like we were treated like we were a bother for even asking, or not accepting the excruciating long wait for our food. At no time did anyone employee or manager apologize for the long wait....it was kind of an "it is what it is" attitude. They said, well we only have 1 person in the kitchen. There was us and 2 other tables so it's not like the place was slammed. We suggested to the employee taking orders, that it might be helpful if she let's people know that there will be a long wait for all orders, so the customer can decide if they want to wait, and that was totally the wrong thing to say to her. The snark was strong with that one. Look, I've been a retail manager, and I get when people dont show up or call in, but that doesn't give those that are there there right to make customers feel we are in the wrong. I recently bought the Buffalo Mac from Sliders for $11, expecting a decent-sized portion for the price. Instead, it came in a small plastic bowl with just a tiny side of coleslaw definitely not what I anticipated. I went back to the counter to express my concerns and asked for a refund, which they said they don’t offer (understandable). I then politely asked if they could at least remake the dish in a larger bowl, considering the price, but was told they couldn’t do that either. I understand this is a busy waterpark, but if you’re going to charge premium prices, the food quality and portion size should reflect that. It felt more like an overpriced snack than a proper meal. This restaurant displayed many awful qualities and I and my group of friends were very displeased with the service, cleanliness, and taste.The food was very overpriced for its quality. When we arrived, we ordered some items that did not arrive as they were advertised. We ordered a dessert pizza with ice cream and we never received any ice cream. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza, and it had sausage on it and the pieces were very uneven, leaving us to believe that it had been recycled from other unfinished pizzas.
