Barry butchered my brand-new ring — sloppy work, rude service, and zero accountability.

I brought in a perfect ring to be resized to a size 6, and it came back in worse shape than when I dropped it off. The resize was sloppy — the solder seam is lumpy, discolored, and even left a black mark.

When I pointed out the issues, the staff were rude and dismissive. Instead of owning their mistakes, they lectured me about rhodium being “at an all-time high” and acted like they were doing me a favor by charging $30 instead of $50 — on top of the $45 I had already wasted. His wife even tried to excuse it, and the daughter slammed a bottle of Windex on the counter telling me to use that to get the snug ring off. Completely unprofessional.

A reputable jeweler later confirmed Barry used soft solder — the cheap shortcut way. This was a sentimental piece that deserved proper care.
