I did a lot of research comparing brands and found Brilliance to be by far the cheapest option. After finding credible reviews, I chose to order my engagement ring from them on 12/2/24. Designing the ring was really easy, and they had a lot more band options than other sites I was looking at. The only negative I found in this process was that you have to request the certification on the stone, it's not just listed on their site like others.
When I ordered, they said delivery would be between 3–6 weeks. I got an email on 12/10/24 confirming my order and that delivery would be 3–6 weeks. The ring entered the "polishing and setting stage" on 12/17/24. I reached out again on 1/2/25 to see if there was an updated ship date and did not get a response. I followed up on 1/7/25 and got a response stating the time frame was still 3–6 weeks. Another employee then reached out to me on 1/10/25 and told me they could commit to shipping the ring on 1/23/25 (over 7 weeks from date of order). I had not received any additional portal updates, so I reached out on 1/20/25 to confirm it was still set to ship on 1/23/25, and they confirmed that was the case.
On 1/22/25, the day before the ring was supposed to be shipped to me, I received an email that the diamond I chose, and had spent hours reviewing and comparing, had an issue, and they would be replacing it with one with similar Cs. There was only one diamond available that could be shipped out the next day, or I could wait another 3 weeks if I wanted to select it. They sent over photos and the certificate and I expressed concern that the bowtie on the diamond was more noticeable than I was wanting. They confirmed that it was checked by their gemologist and there was no bowtie. With that and not wanting to wait any longer, I okay'd the replacement diamond. The ring ended up being delivered on 1/24/25.
Overall, I'm not necessarily regretful of my purchase. The process took longer than anticipated, but mostly I did not appreciate them changing the diamond at the very last minute to something I had no hand in picking. The diamond does in fact have a noticeable bowtie. I just remind myself that my budget wasn't big enough to likely be able to get an oval without one, so it is what it is; I primarily don't appreciate them blatantly lying about it.

Read moreI promised my daughter at a very young age that she would one day, when she got engaged, get my natural 3 carat diamond that is surrounded by 1 carat of natural diamonds. She is now engaged so I started on a quest to find my new diamond and ring. My husband is a very wise man, to insure I love what I get, he let's ME chose my jewelry. I am so very thankful that I literally stumbled upon Brilliance after looking at Blue Nile and a few other websites. Nothing, and no other company, I found matches their prices and customer service. I seriously am a very difficult client (not rude). I want what I want and what I pay for. I asked for many 360 views and lab report Chase, Janet, Layla & CJ all helping me at different times as I located, and changed out, my diamond THREE times. I took so much time in learning about the IDEAL percentages for a Radiant diamond's table and depth, the perfect length to width ratio for me, the color and clarity (when to sacrifice color for clarity) about the long and short mains, the best places for the inclusions NOT to be, because I wanted near perfection! So, I started my diamond search armed with knowledge of exactly what I wanted, then looked at the 360's and lab reports on least 300 diamonds probably closer to 400, decided I definately did NOT want one with a "bowtie". THEN I FOUND it, my PERFECT diamond! It's a 4.05 radiant cut, E color, VSI clarity with long mains, no fluorescence and with excellent polish and symmetry that was full of fire and "brilliance"! I next found my perfect ring which was the 1 Ctw Diamond Channel Set Engagement Ring In Platinum. Then I waited. Ordered 5/26/24 and received today 6/26/24. With the care I took in selecting it I envisioned my diamond ring would be beautiful BUT, it seriously, takes my breath away because of the firey sparkle it has. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT so very much. I wanted to post photos of it because it is absoluately gorgeous but it's difficult to get good shots because of the sparkle so I took photos with no over head lights on. With such reasonable prices I found and bought 2 2 carat pear diamonds that they are creating a custom ring for me to put them in. Now, I'm even more excited about it. Don't be afraid to buy from Brilliance, you won't regret any aspect of the experience of from buying diamonds from them. Everyone at Brilliance was wonderful to work with from...
Read moreThis is by far the worst experience I’ve ever encountered in my life. I delayed writing this review because I genuinely expected a manager to reach out and apologize — but no one did.
I placed an order for a natural grown diamond and paid in full. I was quoted 15–20 business days. I received zero updates. On day 22, I emailed and called — no response. On day 25, I emailed and called again. I finally got a call from a lazy worker who casually said, “Oh well, yeah, it takes a while, so maybe five more days.” I responded, “Perfect, can you please keep me updated? You can call, text, or email me.”
Day 33 — still no updates. I emailed and called again. This time, a different woman called me back. I expressed my frustration that the promised time frame had already doubled. She had the audacity to tell me I should have provided them with a time frame if I was so concerned about it. Excuse me? I was perfectly fine with the original time frame they gave me! Once again, the call went nowhere — no progress, just more wasted time.
Day 40 — no update, no response. I was fuming. I emailed and called yet again. This time, a man answered and seemed completely confused as to why my ring was taking so long. He told me a manager would reach out that day. Guess what? No one did. Finally, on Day 42, I got an email with a tracking number.
The delay cost me $100 for a non-refundable deposit to reserve a photographer for a specific date — which I had to cancel. It’s extremely difficult to find an available photographer during the summer, and I ended up paying an outrageous amount to secure a date and time for another photographer.
The ring itself was gorgeous, but I’m taking my business elsewhere. I’ve since found places with better prices and companies that actually communicate with their customers. This experience was awful, and it hurts even more seeing so many others have a great experience — as if I wasn’t valued at all. I gave them every opportunity to communicate, and that’s all I asked for. I emailed multiple times — not to be annoying, but because days would pass with no response.
Take your business elsewhere. They will not take...
