My family just walked into the chick fil a in Boynton Beach, Florida at 9:45pm and as a former server and restaurant owner I was cringing when I realized the time. We had been at an event that had just ended and none of us had eaten since noon so we were starved!!! There were still cars wrapped around the building in the drive thru so I relented to my family's begging and we went inside. We were welcomed with greetings and smiles as we always are at any chick fil a at any time - day or night. I apologized profusely for the time and one of the managers (Brittany) assured us they were still busy and we were welcomed to dine, they had hot fries and fresh sandwiches. She even convinced me to try the water melon mint lemonade... (by the way I am now it's number one fan) We told the crew we didn't mind if they started to clean as they had already started a few closing procedures, but they all stopped cleaning in the dining room and worked up front. I was impressed by several things on this particular visit... 1. The camaraderie and spirit of the team on this night was lovely. They seemed to still be in good spirits even after a long shift I am sure and having customers come in so late. 2. The managers performed the same duties as the other workers, Brittany even running out to take one last order at 9:59 - that is leadership!!! They even served two others who came in the door just a few minutes after 10:00 (Jason- another manager) 3. They have a security guard at this location who walks employees out to their car as well as the last patrons. I asked Jason why they do this and he said that the they have a lot of minors that work there and the owner just wants everyone to be safe. I appreciate that so much as I have two teenage daughter myself. I really just wanted to give a shout out to this chick fil a store (#1703) and its owner Justin Mize for the amazing crew of employees you have in place and the job they all did tonight. You guys were amazing and I thank you so much for serving me and my family. "Well done my good servants" - Luke 19:17
Thanks again, Vanessa...
Read moreI am almost 9 months pregnant, so you can visualize my size. This morning as I pulled into a full parking lot (not unusual) I noticed there was one space available that was between two cars. I parked my car and then opened my door to get out, but because the space was to small for my rather large frame I was unable to get out of my car. I had to get back in my car and proceed to the drive through (frustrating and embarrassing). A car pulled into the parking lot behind me as I was getting in line at the drive through. Unbeknownst to me the lady felt as if she had the right before me. So, she got out of her car as I pulled to the intercom to order, she got in my face and called me every cuss word in the book. I stared at her in pure shock and then proceeded to place my order (as she was still screaming at me). I got to the window and Faith (the manager) and Ray Lynn were so sweet as they handed me my food. Faith said, “it is on us” and I asked “why”? Faith said, “to make your day a little better” I can’t express my gratitude enough. I left there crying (I am sure the hormones had a lot to do with it). I wasn’t only crying because they were so sweet and the free food, but because of the lesson learned. It is so easy to get caught up in our own emotions in this world. We are humans and we constantly make mistakes and people will always consistently upset us, but our reactions to those who upset us is what is the most important. Kindness always wins. Anger only effects the person who is expressing it, but kindness will affect and touch many more lives. So, Faith and Ray Lynn, thank you for being kind, thank you for reminding me to express kindness even when I am upset. You two truly are an example of the core values of the company you work for along with being an inspiration to others. You two show that simple act of kindness can make a huge impact in someone’s...
Read moreI ordered 2 chicken sandwich deluxe meals (1 with a GF bun) & 4 ct chicken strips. I collected the bag at the drive-thru & went home which is 3 mins away. When I opened the bag there was 1 chicken sandwich, 1 GF bun but NO chicken for that sandwich & NO chicken strips. I rushed back to the restaurant, arrived 10:05pm, I know they close at 10pm & wasn't trying to be unreasonable. The doors were locked but all of the employees were inside including the manager. I knocked on the door to be ignored by at least 8 employees; I had the chick-fil-a bag in my hand so obviously I was just there. The manager came out & looked right at me twice & just walked away, I called & a female employee answered but before I could say anything she told someone "I think it's the guy outside, I shouldn't have answered" then hung up on me. I mean seriously, where is the courtesy? I felt like s**t standing there to be ignored. I know everyone wanted to go home after a long day, but I work too & was just trying to feed my family. $22.30 spent & I still had to buy dinner somewhere else. The manager should have come to the phone when I called knowing that I was standing by the door & should have asked what I needed. It would have been a 2 minute phone call. I am surprised at how poorly I was treated. Standing there with a messed up order in my hands, no food to take home and all of the employees looking at me through the doors like an animal at the zoo but not one person could ask what was wrong. Poor representation of your restaurant and even...
