City Mattress — Local services in Boynton Beach

After reading all the great reviews, my husband and I went to City Mattress in Boynton Beach on 05/17/2021 to look for a new king size mattress and a bed. Our salesperson, April was very patient letting us try out various mattresses to suit our needs. We chose a Beautyrest Black Plush, we also bought a King sized bed. That particular bed required a Bunkie board support. So we purchased these items which were delivered within a few days. The delivery set/up men were excellent, however the bed had two drawers on the bottom, and the left one was defective, could not open or close it. Delivery guys reported it to store and a few days later another bed was delivered and set up. SAME PROBLEM, left drawer would not work. We then went back to the store to speak to April and hopefully find a new bed. We ended up buying a very expensive bed, and were assured by April the bunkie board was the correct support for the mattress on that bed. It was not! The mattress sunk so deep into the bed frame it was impossible to put sheets on. Then a low-profile support was delivered, that also was not high enough for the mattress to make the bed. I spoke to April by phone saying we needed a normal sized box spring type mattress. She actually had the nerve to tell me that she felt it was only fair if we split the price difference, are you kidding me after spending all this money on a bed that was unusable to us, and 5 deliveries later??? I asked to speak to her manager and then her response was "fine, I'll pay it!" and she hung up on me. Totally unprofessional! The whole process took weeks until the bed and mattress was usable, that's unacceptable! SHE is supposed to be a trained salesperson, if you sell beds then you should know the correct support system for the mattress. I went to City matches in Boca Raton I keep forgetting the lady's name she had long hair and glasses regardless I wanted an extra firm bed. I made a critical error a lot of people want to extra firm bad I slept in there for 3 weeks and my arms and shoulders weren't paying everyday so I went back. Being more than gracious the lady with long hair and glasses I think ain't even Barbara or something like that Just ask for my name Robert z e r n e r and she can give you a great experience looking for a mattress nevertheless I went there they gladly were showed me mattresses and picked out a softer one for. The customer service is great but try to make an appointment cuz they can't get busy so call and make an appointment. You don't buy beds all the time but if you do need a bed I would definitely go over here patient friendly honest just a great experience and I'm not getting paid to say this I always say what I mean so again if you're looking for a mattress and you're looking for the truth and you're looking for great service go here again I had a return the mattress cuz it was too thick too hard I wanted a firm mattress a lot of people make mistakes when they want to for a mattress. We had an interesting warranty issue with our mattress that we purchased 7 years ago from City Mattress Boynton beach! We called up the store, putting in the claim warranty and someone from city mattress came to inspect our mattress. He claimed that the mattress pad failed due to stains on our mattress. The person told me we’d have to go through the mattress protector company. We went through the mattress, protector company and they sent us a new one but wouldn’t send anybody else to come clean our mattress. I was in constant contact with Josh Simmons, the manager of city mattress Boynton Beach who is kind courteous and helped us throughout the process. After the mattress pad company decided to not do anything for us. He was gonna try to help us out with getting a new mattress. Spoke to Josh on a Friday late morning and what he was able to do for us in order for us to get a new mattress. Josh was able to find a solution working with upper management for the delicate situation we were stuck in and we came in Saturday morning. Debra was fantastic and wasn’t pushy . She showed us mattresses within our price range. We ended up getting a brand new mattress. We just had our mattress delivered today and they were in and out of our house within 10 minutes .
