I am giving only 3 stars to what used to be my favorite store because of an unfortunate experience last night. My mother and I shop at this store at least 2 times a week for the past 5 + years. I took my mother, who is 70, to get some throw pillows last night and we went to checkout.. We stood in the regular checkout line like we always have, but the 2 cashiers that were on duty told us to go to the new self check-out and they would "assist". I asked if they could just ring us up at the regular register and that we didn't want to go to the self checkout lane (my mom hates them, and they were ringing people up at the normal register anyway)! After asking multiple times to be rang up in a normal way, the gentleman insisted that we go to the self-checkout. I finally complied and he came over to attempt to help us ring our stuff up. Then my mother went to pay with her Kohl's card and somehow the self-checkout froze, her card ended up getting charged and then they had to void it out. I then said "this is why we wanted to go to the regular register." Then they rudely took our stuff over to ring up at the normal register finally, as we had requested originally several times. Now my mother's Kohl's card was coming up as declined because they had screwed something up on the self-checkout which we never wanted to use in the first place! I ended up having to use my regular card and we wanted to use her Kohl's card. The two cashiers that forced us into the self-checkout Lane never apologized.. they just sat there in silence and looked at us like we had three heads when we got angry that they screwed up our entire transaction! Finally a nice young lady came and tried to make things right, but we still cannot use my mother's charge card for Kohl's because it was frozen due to the problematic transaction at the self-checkout register. The worst part was being forced to use the self-checkout, when they were ringing other people up at the normal registers the whole time. And we asked several times to use the regular cashier check out like we always have. And then the worst part was the two employees that insisted we use the new self-checkout stood there in silence, looking at us like we did something wrong.. after they screwed up her entire transaction with no apologies! Wow.. very sad to be treated like that at what used to be our...
Read moreTerrible experience. Shopped at the store, Audrey, a cashier was extremely rude. A woman in front of me in line had an online order issue, and I witnessed the entire situation. Audrey was rude to her, and was aggressive. Unfortunately the manager took over, and so when I was next in line, Audrey took care of me. Audrey continued to talk to me about the situation, rather than focus on me and my needs, my sale and transaction. I found this to be unprofessional and inappropriate. The customer in front of me was polite, and Audrey took things out of proportion. She was lifting her scanner equipment towards the customer as well, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I would have went to another cashier, but no one else was available. In the future, I will not be shopping at this location.
I hope that management can speak with Audrey, I don't think this was the first time she spoke like this. She was also rude to me and I had been patiently waiting in line.
Audrey didn't take care of the customer before me correctly, which resulted in a longer wait time for me. I will be filling out the survey at the bottom of receipt and giving this location the poorest options on my review because of the situation I not only saw but also ended up experiencing.
I cannot believe Kohls is hiring people like Audrey, when so many people are out of work and would be more professional. This is not what community or Kohls should value.
I'm not sure if I can support Kohls after this...
Read moreI recently visited the Kohl’s store at Gateway in Congress, Boynton Beach, and I felt compelled to share my experience.
When I entered the store, I was immediately greeted by a young gentleman named Zach, who was both polite and eager to help. I mentioned I was interested in the fragrance department, and he quickly directed me there. As I was browsing, I found a fragrance I wanted but needed some assistance.
At that point, I noticed a young woman working in the same section. I approached her for help, but unfortunately, her response was dismissive. She seemed uninterested in assisting me and, rather than offering help herself, she told Zach to assist me, in a tone that I found to be rude and disrespectful. It seemed as though she didn’t care to be bothered and assumed I was simply window shopping.
I was extremely disappointed by her behavior. As a business owner, I understand the importance of customer service and how crucial it is to engage with customers in a respectful manner. Rudeness like this not only affects customer experience but can also hurt the store’s reputation and sales.
However, I want to acknowledge Zach’s outstanding service. He immediately responded to my needs and took the time to ensure I was taken care of. His professionalism and positive attitude truly stood out.
I hope the management can address this issue, as behavior like this should not be...
