Our family has ordered from here a couple of times, and have not been overly impressed. Nice staff, great selection of creative pizza toppings, and the toppings are good quality. But the dough is a fail. Not quite sure what style they are going for. Neapolitan, maybe? If so, they've missed the mark.
This place is a good example of how making pizza in a brick oven doesn't mean you're guaranteed to get great pizza. Also proof that south Florida consumers don't know good pizza, and certainly not good dough. Putting a bunch of creative toppings will mask the quality of the dough, so when visiting a new pizzeria (especially brick oven), I'll always order a Margherita or cheese pie, and start with the crust. Tough to hide bad or mediocre dough with a simple pizza. Step up your dough game and you guys will be five stars all the way! If you use Caputo 00 flour the company will help you develop a good recipe. It's all about that base. Hopefully you'll get there and recover a passionate pizza loving customer.
In response to the owner's comments, you suggested I call you. But if your response to my constructive criticism and honest opinion, including when I said that if you improved your dough you would be "five stars all the way", is any indication as to how you would treat me (or my observations), it appears, sir, that this would be a waste of your time and mine. Interestingly, you never addressed my comments, but simply attacked me personally. My comments did not discredit you or your knowledge, and I didn't say your food is bad. I simply stated my personal preference; maybe you like your dough, while I don't, and that's ok. As for the accuracy of my comments about, say, Neapolitan pizza, a quick visit to the VPN website will tell you what constitutes Neapolitan pizza (certainly not yours). Restaurants grow and improve from their customers' honest criticism...or they can choose not to. You don't know what my background is, and it may surprise you. But I DO know what your pizza is like, and described it fairly and accurately. Successful restauranteurs rarely prefer that customers smile, say the food was "great", and never go back because they didn't like it. That echo chamber is a recipe for disaster. Maybe your personal attack and being so overly sensitive is a good indication that there's more to improve at your establishment than mediocre dough. But it's not too late to apologize, be grateful for honest observations, and strive to improve. Have a...
Read moreI randomly stumbled upon this place while looking for gluten-free options around our new area. We walked in and were hardly greeted by the staff, no one really explained to us how to figure out the menu- they all just kind of stood there until a tall guy came over with a cap to help us clarify things which was more reassuring. It initially felt a little strange when we asked questions because the staff seemed to be getting a little annoyed but when this guy came over, we felt more reassured. After we figured it all out and placed our order, it took a little while for our pizzas to come out, but it was worth it. We ordered two gluten-free personal pies and one custom pie with regular crust. In addition to this for dessert, we opted for the cannoli.
The pizza was honestly delicious. We all agreed that it was one of the best gluten-free pizzas that we’ve ever tried. Especially here in Florida. I must say there aren’t too many delicious pizzeria’s here-let alone gluten free pizza options. For gluten-free crust I must say it was absolutely tasty, came out crispy from the oven, super soft and fluffy, and was overall a great combination with the cheese. I went a little plain with my pizza – mozzarella and basil but the other two members of our group were a little bit more creative with their toppings and thoroughly enjoyed their creations. The basil pesto that you can see in the pictures was bomb ( this one was not gluten-free) and the mozzarella with peppers onions and mushrooms was quite delicious as well. In regard to the dessert- they marketed it as a “cannoli” but it’s more of like a cannoli Nutella pizza. I wouldn’t really call this an authenticauthentic cannoli. Although it wasn’t exactly what we wanted or expected, we gladly ate it. It’s also a great choice for people who want to opt for a gluten-free dessert as they were able to make the dough part of it gluten-free which was a cool add-on.
Overall- must say that we will be back whenever that pizza craving hits as its an amazing gluten free...
Read moreSaturday night we decided to take the trip to Boynton Beach (from Wellington) to pick up Pizzarox. Halfway there we called to place our order so that it was ready by the time we were there. The unwelcoming man who answered the phone stated that they don't take orders over the phone any more and that I would have to go order through their website. After selecting all the orders online (which was extremely annoying), I noticed I wasn't able to use our free pizza card for one of the pizzas because you have to pay upfront. So I called back. The same man answered the phone. I mentioned how I wasn't able to use the card. He had me describe the free pizza card to him and as soon as I said the card had whole punches he told me "they don't use these cards anymore, so I can't use it".....I found this completely ridiculous because this wasn't just a free pizza card.. It was a card I earned because of all the orders we have placed there. The man persisted to be a jerk and state that they haven't used these cards in 4 years... (which is an absolute lie.) I have not had this card for 4 years.... even if I did (which I know I didn't), it didn't have an expiration date on it anyway. This man's extremely rude demeanor lead me to ask for a manager. The man stated how he was the manager (Glenn)🤣 and that if I had a valid free pizza card I was welcome to come in and wait in line to see if it will be accepted or not. RUDE. Glenn, I hope your pathetic attitude and lack of good customer service was worth losing my family's business and those...
