My daughter originally started out in another stable, but it was getting way too crowded there and the trainers didn’t dedicate the time and attention to properly train the kids. So we have finally decided to transfer her to another stable and was recommended by a close friend to try Bellavantage Farm.
Now she has been riding here for almost a year and it has become her second home. Shelly is a brilliant trainer with a kind heart. She genuinely care for the kids and have goals for them to reach every step of the way. I rarely trust someone with kids as I trust her. She is devoted to what she does and maintains the farm in great order.
Shelly personally went to Germany and helped my daughter find a horse. At first we were a little hesitant about buying, but as soon as that beauty arrives, we all fell in love with her. It makes a real difference when you get to find the right horse as my daughter started to make so much progress in a short period of time. I am impressed at what she is able to achieve with her new horse. Shelly deserves all the credit for this!
Colleen also trains my daughter and she is equally superb! Honestly this is such a great place and community that simply makes everyone enjoy being there. The kids are safe and happy, so are the parents! Can’t say enough good things about Bellavantage and the staff. Your kids will be in very good hands...
Read moreI was told the horse I bought here was an amateur horse meaning should be safe for anyone to ride. Since bringing him home he tore apart my trailer on the way home the second day after a turn out I put him in the cross ties and he completely lost his mind for no reason he lunged up at me and tried to strike at me multiple times. The horse was not scared or in fear he was angry that he was in the cross ties . Now the next time I go to get him out I Saddled him up in the barn hoping that things might be better on his back here …well they weren’t …he tried bucking me off 4 different events in that ride as I tried to pull his head up to stop him from bucking he then took off with me and bolted this horse is completely not what he was advertised to be and definitely not an amateur horse! he has very dangerous tendencies I would be very careful shopping for a horse at...
Read moreI have been riding at the farm for a year now, this is my home and what I am looking forward most of my mornings! The instructor Erin who is super kind, funny, professional and patient with me the whole time. I learned a lot about myself as well as communications with horses. Surely strong bonded with 1-2 school horses. It is a perfect learning ground for adults and kids. Shelly and the women at the farm formed a great community...
