I was a little disappointed as this was my first time going to Sonic. Believe it or not I had never been before. The food that I did receive was pretty good and definitely would get 4 to 5 stars. My problem was with the service. There was a long wait in the drive-thru which is perfectly fine with me. It's great to see a business doing so well. When I pulled up to place my order, I ordered exactly everything that I wanted to sample. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. It didn't quite go to plan. The young man who I ordered with acted like he didn't know what the items were. Never having been there, I ordered them by name from the company menu on the website. I ordered a Coney island footlong with onions to start and immediately the questions began. "A Coney what?". I repeated it back a few times and he finally replied with "Oh you mean a footlong. That's we call them in here". Okay, I'm sorry for not knowing your kitchen lingo. Then I ordered a few more sides and a couple of drinks. He told me more than once that they didn't carry some of those items to which I heard some employees in the background telling him that they did offer those items. While on his headset, I heard him say back to his Co-workers that "Well he's not ordering them right." After all that I was somewhat frustrated and I repeated the order just for to get it clear. He told me he "got it". I pulled closer to the window ahead and a young lady came out to expedite the payment. I looked at the receipt and noticed I was missing an item: a banana shake. When I let her know, she told me she's not allowed to add anything on and I could simply go back through the line, although he repeated the order as well. I got my food before ever getting to the window and left with no banana shake and Abad taste in my mouth. I wasn't going back through the line no matter what. Read moreIs there an option for zero? I will rate this for the food. Went tonight (Friday) knowing it would probably be crowded. It was! Issue WASN'T the crowd, the line, the 45 min wait, or the food..my complaint is with the service. Approaching the window, I could see a sea of young employees laughing and having fun..(no problem once again). I thought wow, what a fun place to work. When the cashier came to the window, he gave me my total, no greeting or acknowledgement. Ok handed me a drink..a couple of mins later some of my food..minute later the rest of my food. I sat waiting for my shakes..when he opened to see why I was still there, he realized he forgot my shakes on the counter in front of him. As I turned to set down my shakes, I turned, realizing I had no straws, but of course he closed the window. So I waited amd waited. 3 people standing at the window with no acknowledgement. Okay, so i tried my taters. And another..all while about 10-15 cars were behind me. So now I'm thinking maybe they're having too much fun. At least 2 mins later someone opens the window and I could ask for my straws. One thing is to be busy another is to not even fake good customer service. Say hello, say thank you, say I'm sorry for your wait, say whoops sorry didn't see you there, say something besides your total is $34.89.. I have never received such horrible service. The service drive up #16 was so bad I ordered the ‘new’ smash burger combo, and #12 (tender dinner) the lady in my intercom was soooooo oblivious to our order I had to keep correcting her over and over, and she still got it wrong, was charging me for items that was in the meal already 🤦🏽♀️ I asked to speak to a manager over 3 times, I began to get frustrated with her, I’m assuming she asked someone with the long pause she took, by the time she got it right our order came out instantly, but it was wrong 😑 sent it back ask for my money back, but instead of bringing me a manger or my money they brought out the right order 25 min later. It was so hot out side I didn’t have the strength or the patience to be cordial, so I just took the food and left when we opened the bags the food looked like it was just thrown together, very sloppy, my daughter tenders was hard and dry, the French fries was hard taste like they was fried in the same grease with the tots, and chicken the only thing that saved them was the cranberry slushy which she got wrong I ordered 2 but she sent one, and a cranberry lemonade not what I wanted but it was good so I drank it. Whoever working the drive up slots need to learn the menu and don’t be rude cause their lack of knowledge will not be coming here...
