Centennial Lanes 2.0 — Local services in Bremen Township

I am disgusted and in shock that I need to write this right now. But feel obligated to advise anyone who is thinking of having an event, party, or even go to this establishment to stay away... I am incredibly disappointed at how the staff and ownership of this location treated our guests and my family at my daughter's birthday party. I also found many of the comments made by the "owner" to be deeply disturbing.

While I was working with our party coordinator to discuss the food for our party, I saw one of my guests, a young mom in tears, being spoken to very rudely by the staff.

It turns out... The staff was upset because the daughter of the mom, a young autistic girl, ran out into the bowling lane. The mother saw it happened and immediately ran after the girl and got her back.

The staff started screaming at the mother, telling her she needed to do a better job watching her kid among other comments. When I asked the staff to watch how they are speaking to the mother, who at this point was in tears, they immediately started yelling at me. I explained that we understand that the girl being out there on a lane was very concerning, and we apologized that had happened on our watch and ensured them we would not let that happen again. But I did say that does not give them the right to yell at a woman. They did not agree and continued to berate both me and the mother.

A man who claimed to be the owner kept insisting that whoever the child's "owners" should not have brought the kid to the party. I found this to be an incredibly insensitive way to speak to a mother of a child with disabilities. And when the father of the child heard this, he confronted the owner who told him "to leave him alone because he didn't want to get arrested for assault today". Incredibly bizzare uncalled for threat. Totally unnesscary... after many attempts to calm the staff down they finally agreed that we discontinue the conversation and we went in to our space to have my daughters party.

I was incredibly disappointed and embarrassed to watch our guests walk in as me and this mother were berated and threatened by staff for a child walking out into a lane of a bowling alley. I was sad to watch the mother and father of the child stay in the corner with their daughter the entire party after being threatened and berated.

I we did not have many guests, and if it were not our child's party, we would have walked out. It was one of the most uncomfortable situations I've been in.

The owners and staff (with the exception of a few who were extra kind to us) ought to be ashamed...

ABSOLUTE TRASH!! THIS PLACE HAS GONE DOWN THE DRAIN! If I could give 0 stars I would. I’ve come to this establishment for many, many years. I come with a group of 10-20 every time. We book in advance, we buy food, and spend TONS in the bar.. I have been here 2x since it has been under new ownership and I can say I will never be back. From the moment you walk in, (no one wears a name tag for the sake of their attitudes) the front desk lady with the salt and pepper Afro was so rude, laughed at us when we were trying to figure out shoe sizes, and rolled her eyes at us every chance she got. We brush that off and decide to get to our 3 lanes we booked. 2 of them would not reset the pins. We called for help and went to front desk multiple times just for them to say “ok give us a minute” at this point, our 2 hour lane rental is now at 1 hour and 32 minutes. The front desk lady refused to reset our time. Ok, whatever. We go to bar to gather drinks/pitchers for the group.. we walk in about 8 people deep. The bartender served 3 individuals that walked in after us before even approaching our group. I begin to order drinks and she would stop making my order to tend to her friends that would call her. I told her I wasn’t finished with my order and she said “I don’t take orders from people like you!” In a loud and disrespectful tone. I continue to wait and she decides to get “someone else to take my order because she didn’t like my tone” when I said I wasn’t done ordering.. she continued to serve others before she approached me and asked “well what else do you want!” On top of many other nasty and ignorant things I can’t say in a Google review that were said on her behalf.. I ordered the remaining drink order and closed out. As we gathered the rest of our drinks she told another patron at the bar “if they come back in here they will wait even longer”.. safe to say she would have made a killing off of us in tips but we gladly left her a tip of $0.00. I couldn’t believe how rude the entire staff was and how disrespected we felt from the moment we walked in for NO APPARENT REASON. Will never step foot in this establishment again, thank god there are better bowling alleys we will gladly spend...

We first walked in and went right to the front desk to check in and get our bowling shoes. The lady at the front desk was not pleasant at all. She hands one of our friends the wrong size shoes so he said politely back, can I get a size 9 , the rude lady literally huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes then slammed down the shoes onto the counter! Completely uncalled for! Next experience was even worst, I wanted a bucket of beer, so I went into the bar area. It wasn’t busy, there was a couple sitting next to me on my right and a party of four on my left and around the bar was a party of four that just sat down after me and the bar tender helped them! I was standing at the bar for a good 10 minutes trying to signal her down politely but nothing, she wouldn’t even look at me! So I gave up and went back to bowl. My fiancé went back about five minutes later and she got that same rude service until an older white lady came up to her and served her! Ohhh it gets better! We were over charged for the bucket of beers as well. A friend from our group went to the bar before myself and my fiancé did. He got a bucket of Modelo which is a imported beer! He asked how much are the buckets, he was told 18 dollars for domestic beers and 21 dollars for imported beers! My fiancé was charged 21 dollars for a bucket of Michelob ultra which is a domestic beer!!! I am absolutely appalled on the service of this place! I have been coming to the bowling alley for years since I was a teenage and never had these problems! Bowling alley and bar seems to have a problem serving the white race.
