I'm not one to go out my way to write negative reviews, but this is by far one of the worst if not the worst store experience I've ever had. Just avoid this Burlington if you have other options. I now see the backed up lines is a common complaint and months later it still rings true. But more than that the cashier I dealt with was incredibly rude. I was trying to exchange two items and instead of clearly explaining there was an issue on the stores end finding one of the items on the receipt, she was making it seem like I brought the wrong receipt. First it was the item wasnt on there. Then said it showed said item as already returned-- understandably confusing because how could an item I have in my possession that I'm handing over be returned already? I wouldnt have it in my possession. Then I took the receipt and found the number that matched the item I was returning. Then the cashier got snippy and responded pretty rudely. I couldve justifiably been mean and snapped at her, but I kept my composure as those types of employees are not worth it. She was also on about (very rudely) not touching merchandise on the counter (helping remove hangers) as "its actively scanning." I was unaware Burlington had those technologies. To my knowledge that's Amazons realm, Burlington employees still have to manually scan items. If you personally dont want people to touch merchandise they're handing over, that's a separate issue that could be communicated effectively without making up information. This making up stuff, being unclear and very rude when she was making the experience complicated and miserable was enough to note to avoid this store...
Read moreMy daughter and I went inside for a quick stop to pick up a few items just now. She had somewhere to be at 8:30pm; not too far. We got in line to check out at about 8:05 p.m. There may have been 5 or 6 people ahead of us and 2 cashiers. We stood without moving for almost 10 minutes until they brought out a 3rd cashier. Finally at 8:20pm, we are next in line yet the 3rd cashier walks away. That 3rd cashier on the left right side sees the line is still moving slow. She just shuffles along with not a care in the world, doing other things. Finally after she hears people in the line complaining (she made no have heard) she decides to re-open her register. We finally made it to the cash register to check out. We literally walked out of there at 8:30. As we walking out, a 4th cashier was added. So all along they could have done this instead of making us stand 25 minutes in A-line that wasn't' even long. On top of that, they had the worst attitude. Like they were unhappy to be there. Did not like their jobs. Just quit! There are other people waiting to have your job. On the good side, they have great prices and nice items. Which is why...
Read moreI usually stop in to shop at this store after work. Sometime I rush to make my selection and from time to time the merchandise isnât completely satisfying. So I always keep all of my sales receipts so I can return it for something else. On Jan 26, 2023, 6:45 pm, I stopped in to return a shirt that I purchased just a few days prior. The store Manager, Joan was on duty at register #002 treated me like a criminal. She asked for a receipt, which I provided, but then she claimed that the price tag was missing. Then I showed her the original price tag still attached to the shirt the way I bought it. Then Joan still insisted that I wasnât able to return the merchandise because the tag was not correct. But after she scanned the receipt and the price tag, it matched. Then, instead of apologizing for her incompetence and lack of courtesy, she continued to harass me as if I was trying to scam her. This kind of behavior isnât what I expect from a store manager. This, I was very disappointed in this store for the extremely poor experience I...
