Lil' John's Big and Tall Men's Fashion & Alteration Shop — Local services in Brent

I am incredibly disappointed with this place. I went online and did a little research on some of the local big and tall stores in the area. This place came up and it seemed to be legit and have decent ratings. I couldn’t get ahold of anyone at the store because they never answer the phones. I decided to go to the store to find a really nice gentleman who helped me out. He took my measurements and had me try out different jackets as I was attending a wedding. After trying on several items I found something that was suitable. The price was a little much, but I decided to go ahead and purchase it as I really needed it. He said that they would have to order the jacket and once it came in they would call me to come try it on. I got a call a week later to come try it on. The seamstress took some measurements and said they would have it ready for me in time for the wedding. The sales guy told me to go ahead and pay it off. I had already put half down. I said could I just pay it when I pick it up? He said they would prefer payment now so I just went ahead and paid for it. He said that he would call once it was ready. I never got a call so I just decided to come on in. When I arrived the same guy who sold me acted like he’d never even met me and I said I was here to pick up the suit. He told me to go right back to the seamstress. I was greeted by a different women who was incredibly rude. The older lady I had dealt with originally was sitting in the back. The other women asked me if there was something they were working on and I said yes. She asked me for a ticket and I said they never provided one. She asked for my name and they finally found it. The suit was covered in yarn and white fuzz without a garment bag that was promised. She said they could use a lint remover to get rid of the fuzz and she proceeded to remove try and remove it. I also saw it wasn’t pressed as also promised. She said they could press it for me. I was so upset at this point that I just declined. I walked back to the front of the store and the sales guy was helping someone else. I asked for the garment bag and he then gave me one. I told him I was very unpleased with my experience and that the lady in the back was very rude. He apologized and told me if that’s all I needed. I just dropped over $700 at this place and they couldn’t even offer to make things right. I’m not asking for anything, but it seemed like once they got paid the level of service completely changed. They said they don’t answer the phones because of the all the Att strikes. I had called this placed over the last month and have yet to get someone on the phone. Evan, Miss Carolyn, and I did not get the wonderful woman who checked us out name, but our experience was absolutely amazing shopping for a suit for my fiancé and our wedding. We found the perfect suit! Everyone was absolutely amazing and we had such an POSITIVE experience. It’s been extremely difficult to find a suit for my fiancé who is 6’4” over 280 pounds - he has an athletic build, but is very broad in the shoulders. Lil John's an awesome haberdashery! I came in last week and John was absolutely perfect in his knowledge of men's clothing and extremely personalable. High quality clothes for big and tall men. And it's the little things that count that you can't get online. The one-on-one customer service here is uncomprisable. There are belts to try on, colognes to smell, and a tailor shop in the back. I bought some really high quality shirts with dynamics and features that I would have never known about unless I had came here and found out about them. He explained the difference between 2X and XXL. Yes, there is a difference! Lil John's sells his own brand of shirts that feature dress shirts that are wash and wear, no dry cleaning free and no ironing needed!! Wash, dry, hang! And of course, for crispness, you can iron it but it's a long lasting, durable, shirt made of high quality fabrics.
