BEWARE- NO MASKS REQUIRED BY HOMEGOODS. It is not a bargain if you get COVID.
I went in to shop at the Home Goods this morning. I have been a loyal customer of the TJX Companies for years. I saw a customer shopping in the store without a mask contrary to STLCO ordinance. I asked an employee about whether Home Goods had a mask requirement and she informed may they did. She kindly went to ask the woman to put on her mask and was told she did not have to wear a mask. She then got the manage for me.
I spoke with the manager on duty, Monica, who informed me that the company policy is to "suggest" that customers wear masks but that there was no requirement for them to do so. I advised her that was contrary to STLCO ordinance. She said she did not know the legal requirements and restated the company policy.
In addition to the Company putting its employees at risk, it puts other customers at risk including me (who just finished breast cancer treatment), and it is in violation of the law.to serve customers who do not wear masks. This is in spite of having employees stationed at the door sanitizing carts and checking for masks.

Read moreI'm so happy that Home Goods has moved near my neighborhood. It's one of my favorite places. You never know what cool merchandise you'll find and the prices are amazingly reasonable. They carry an enormous variety of home furnishings and supplies. Imports, decorative items, gourmet food choices. Linens, cooking utensils, pet supplies, children's furnishings, lamps, rugs, furniture, candles. I never can leave empty-handed. Last time, of the many things I found were bottles of sugar-free, berry flavored syrups for mixing drinks and preparing desserts, imported baking cocoa, flax seeds for baking, beautiful pottery, English enamelware, quality cookware, gorgeous scented liquid soaps....gotta get back! They offer lots of parking, restrooms, active military discounts, multiple payment choices and numerous other unexpected features you can inquire about. Family and lifestyle friendly environment. A really fun place to take your time and check out the variety of...
Read moreMia has been the rudest cashier by far. She has double glasses and she has the worst attitude. She asked if my friend and I were on seperate purchases and said yes and when she still got that confused she got mad and said we were confusing her. Throughout the transaction she was very rude and making remarks about how I have so many ceramics and her hands were hurting from having to wrap items. She was giving my friend and I dirty looks and then told my friend to just go to the next register even though it was clear we were sharing the same cart. She then placed the rest of my items on the table to go to the next cashier and said that she was placing by too many items on her table and to stop. At the end, she was on her phone and didn’t even bother to look up when handing the receipt. The items were bagged poorly and she was very very rude. I bought a bunch of holiday decor and definitely killed my vibe afterwards. I would give 1 star but the decor was good...
