AVOID THIS PLACE
I don't know WHO is writing these positive reviews. As others have noted, yes, this is a very small store worthy of "emergency only" groceries. Yet it is possible to run a small business while ensuring quality of the products you sell. This is NOT one of those places.
I'm sifting through rice I just bought only to find plump rice weevils (critters) and their eggs crawling about the kernels. This was literally the only bag of such rice they had on their bare shelves (which should've been the first red flag). I ended up paying over $20 bucks for it. The only reason I'm not bringing it over for a refund is because the bag skeeves me out and I don't want to be back there, period.
There is close to no fresh produce. Forget about any interest in fruits, lime/lemons, mangos, etc. Check the expiration date for every packaged product. Avoid any cooked product they try to sell you as "fresh". There are absolutely no kitchen pans/utensils/cooking tools available, so don't bother looking.
As an Indian American, I am truly baffled how this is one of the only Indian grocers in town within a demographic of so many Indians. Now I know better to stock up on groceries from far out stores like Patel Brothers and go to the latin or east asian grocers off the major routes to grab the "emergencies" (or even just amazon).
I make it a point to never leave bad reviews unless I'm genuinely trying to save someone the hassle of a very unfortunate mistake. Unless management changes, the whole structure is rebuilt, and/or a MIRACLE happens, do NOT go to this place.

This is a Desi ‘convenience’ store, not a big box retail store or a Patel Wholesale level store; so to the other people who are leaving bad reviews that it is expensive are just displaying either their own cheapness or lack of awareness on how hard it is to run a small business that caters to ethnic communities. I have nothing but good things to say. I can find most things that I need and sometimes they are slightly more expensive than other stores, but that’s fine. I’m not being forced to buy, I’m paying them for the convenience. While I agree with some reviews that the counter people might not have a ‘pleasant disposition’ or smile every time I see them, that too is fine. I am there to purchase groceries not to catch up on the Joneses. I am grateful that that place exists and that they listen to customers’ inquiries. I know I asked for Ashoka Naans once, and they said they don’t carry that brand, next week, they had them there. Same thing with Shan Chana Masala.
Just not fond of the Samosa/Kabab/homemade snacks that they carry, they look a bit old/stale; but it might just be...
Read moreHi this Friday I needed Urd dal powder and called and confirmed that it is in stock.I went to your shop around 7 pm friday 14th. I bought groceries and I saw CHEKARALU, GRAND MA STYLE HOME MADE SNACK FROM COMPANY HARIKA. I took the packet to the cashier and asked him this is the first time I am buying are they fresh. He said all the stock in the store are fresh. I asked him since there is no expire date on the pack, how fresh the pack you stock in the shop. He said every 3 to 4 days we get the new stock and this snack is fresh. I went home and opened the pack, and this one is smelling so bad and STALE. I could not bear the bad taste and smell. I have the pack still with me. Please what is your response? If you are having a fresh packs deliver to your shop every 3/4 days how can the food is expired and stale? thanks and I appreciate...
