I have gone here for a few years and always liked their service however not today! I had went to another salon 3 weeks ago for a bachelorette party and got my nails dipped never had this done before itās better than a no chip ... I needed to get it redone because my nails had grown out so I asked the owner if they offered this type of service and she said yes....so I get my pedicure done and a another tech comes and asks about the dip service I wanted and then asked me how the other salon did it so I told her and she said oh yeah they must use a different product because we do powder then no chip polish on top of it ....so I said but itās the dip? She said yes so I said ok well will it chip easily because Iāve done the no chip and Iām not a fan because of the cost and it still chips she said she wasnāt sure ...fast forward .... I had time to think and decided Iāll do the basic... owner hears me telling the tech (her husband) I want the basic .... she comes over and convinced me to do the dip service... ok again fine Iāll try it .... the tech then tells me that I really donāt need my nails dipped I have very healthy nails and Iām like but I like color and the fact that this last 3 weeks ....get to the end of my manicure he says oh so you want clear right... just a basic manicure and I just lost it and said this is so annoying if you guys donāt offer this service just say it ... now Iām annoyed he didnāt clip my nails didnāt turn the fan on for my nails to dry and seemed so annoyed with me like I did something wrong! She prepared my eyebrows and when she put the wax on the inner part of my eyebrows she burned me. I told her the wax was way too hot. She then proceeded to do the outer party of my eyebrows and again I told it was way too hot and burning me. She then proceeded to put wax on her arm to show me that the wax was fine. On the other side of my eyebrows she cooled the wax a little by blowing on it before she applied it on me. It was fine. Erin didnāt apologize but she did say others have been fine. Well this is definitely not my first rodeo in getting my eyebrows done with wax. I have over 35+ years having them waxed. I had to let her know the hot wax that she put on her arm is not the same when applied to the delicate and sensitive part of my eye. I paid my bill, no tip and regret even paying for it. I recommend not coming here for eyebrows. I wonāt be back. Montgomery Il has several better places to have your eyebrows done. Looking at what she did she has no skill in shaping and even made my eyebrows uneven. My daughter is like āthank goodness for eyebrow pencilā. Iām going to have to fill with eyebrow pencil. He is very rude and always has an attitude, specially with my mom. English is not her first language and maybe thatās the reason why heās rude to us, specially her. When we go in he does not even acknowledge us or says hi. One should at least be greeted by the staff, and not feel like a bother to them. Lee acts like as if we are getting the service for free. Many times we say something and he ignores us. Iām not sure if this has happened to other customers. But if you have a business, you need to be polite and treat your customers with respect. Also, if something happens to your nails and you go in to get a repair, he seems upset and gives you attitude that you are going back to get something fixed. We always pay for any service we get, even if itās something to fix because we donāt expect anything for free. We value their work and always tip very well ($10-$20 tip). Itās sad that we wonāt be coming back to this place because Ken was always amazing to us. But itās a very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience to be greeted by a rude and impolite person and get treated like a burden.
