This is the first Google review I have ever written, but I could not in good conscience let anyone else shop at this "Verizon" store without reading this. If I could give this store 0 stars, I would.
I originally went into the store to get information about switching to Verizon (Plans, pricing, phone options, etc.) and Amanda helped me with everything and was very sweet. A few days later, I returned with the required information and made the switch with Jarron, the store manager.
I specifically told Jarron that Amanda had helped me with everything (She deserved the commission) and that all he had to do was confirm the purchase. Jarron proceeded to continuously upsell me on accessory products, and I had to tell him several times to proceed with the original agreement. Fortunately for me, I could see through his slimy sales tactics.
After leaving the store for 30 minutes while my phone number was ported over to the new phone, I returned. Jarron had everything ready in my GoWireless bag and I was out the door. When I got home, I looked in my bag and there was a charger which I clearly declined when Jarron previously tried to upsell it to me. I checked my receipt and surely enough, he charged me for a product I clearly declined while I was out of the store.
I returned to the store a few days later to return the product I never bought, and Amanda was there. When I told her what happened, she didn't act surprised. It seemed like this was something that Jarron did often. Then I told Amanda, "I hope you got the sale from this, because I told your manager that you helped me with everything." When she checked my account, Jarron had put himself down as the seller and stole her sale. What a real class act from the manager of the store.
Lastly, Jarron told me i'd be receiving a $300 pre-paid card in the mail as part of the switching promotion. It's been 2 months and I never received it. When I called Verizon (Corporate), they told me that I needed to claim the rebate within 30 days and that I should have received an email with this information. Jarron never told me any of this or sent me any information on the rebate and it nearly cost me $300.
My hope is that someone reads this and decides to go to an actual Verizon store, not this slimy upselling Verizon retailer.    Read moreAbsolutely TERRIBLE! Kayla was supposed to help my family upgrade our phones and our Verizon plan. Instead, she lied to us in order to guarantee her own commission! She told us we had to pay closing fees but we could call Verizon and that customer service would return that payment. We called Verizon, and they said that not only would they not return our payment, but they would also charge us $900 next month when Kayla told us our entire payment wouldnât be over $330! Kayla was supposed to cancel 3 items off our current plan (1 WiFi booster and 2 phones). Instead, Kayla upgraded those plans to cost us even more money AND make her money in the process! The entire time we were there, Kayla seemed really nice, but Kayla is a wolf in sheepâs clothing! All she cares about is the amount of money she gets! My entire family will NEVER shop at Verizon ever again! Kayla and Verizon took my familyâs trust and shoved payment after payment down our throats! And on top of all of this, none of our cell phones can even make a phone call! I am begging everyone to be extremely cautious around Verizon and Kayla, since itâs obvious they are only looking at our wallets! If anyone in a position of power at Verizon sees this review, please give Kayla what she deserves...
   Read moreI was having a lot of issues completing an update on my Apple Watch. The issues locked up my Apple watch and tied up my cell phone with significant update downloading times for many hours. I pretty much spend all day Saturday dealing with this with no success and a lot of frustration.
I took both my Apple watch and cell phone to the Verizon store in Montgomery, IL on Sunday. I meet with two of store employees Vivian and Josh. Vivian was able to get the watch and phone to talk to each other and Josh assisted with the install process. After they worked with me for approximately 2.5 hours they were able to get both the Apple watch and cell phone to successfully work when I left the store!! Both Vivian and Josh were very knowledgeable, patient, and professional as they worked with me to fix my problem! I would recommend this store to anyone if they need any support for Apple watches or cell phones. Thank you both very much...
