Horrible customer service from Brienna (I believe that is her name) Went to pick up a new phone on Friday 11/17/17. She was with someone else who was clearly struggling to make a decision on when to purchase a phone. She seemed aloof and uninterested in helping him. Didn't bother trying to help him with suggestions as he was deciding...he walked out she said nothing. My turn...Didn't address me as I was standing there looked at me blankly. I told her I was there to pick up my phone. She got it and as I was standing at the counter I was overrun by an intense sweet smelling perfume smell. Quite frankly it wreaked. It was sickening. I asked her if they used plug ins or? She replied yes. I told her it was really strong and asked her if she would unplug them while she was setting up the phone..It was starting to affect me. I have slight allergies & asthma and it was triggering me. She flippantly said it wouldn't matter anyway and refused to unplug. What?? I am standing there getting sick and she could have cared less. I moved away from the counter hoping it would be better someplace else while I waited, but they were plugged in everywhere! I decided to just walk outside and wait in the rain so I could get some air! Another customer came in while I was still inside. She didn't acknowledge at all and after several minutes of her ignoring him he simply walked out. When she finished she didn't say anything and brought my phone to me outside. Wow!!! I am still dumbfounded at how all around bad she was. On every level! I am a business owner. Dear store owner, unless you don't care about your store and your customer service you may want to escort her to her car. Even if she is family. The glade plug ins should also be removed in my opinion for those of us who have breathing problems or any allergies for that matter. I dread having to go back into the store and smell the sea of perfume is this company policy? I will say that Mike helped us when we got the phone. I would have rated that experience 5 stars! He was fantastic! And I want to note that the store didn't have any perfume smell at all when we were in a few days earlier. What the heck...
Read moreFirst of all if you are looking to do business with actual Verizon, don't walk but run from this location. When something goes wrong with your plan which If you go with this store, I guarantee something will, actual verizon doesn't recognize them and anything you do with this store, if you need to report something, complain or make something right.....verizon will tell you this store is independent from them and will not assist. With that being said, I worked with a young man named Tyler who basically sold me a bill of goods that he promised one thing and it was most definitely not what he guaranteed. My family has been with verizon since they pretty much started and we had an excellent coverage and plan but Tyler was quick to promise us a lower bill per month and free upgrades on our phones. It turns out that not all the phones were completely free but just had a "credit" towards them and the actual plan we switched to was actually a lower tier and the service is terrible. Tyler was sure to leave that out when pushing me to sign for the new plan. This has caused severe stress and frustration for myself and my entire family and when we tried to speak with a manager, this store does not have a store manager or management where you can try to make things right or complain. How convenient for them. It's apparent that the employees that work at this store are deceptive salesmen that only want the sale and are not interested in making things right for the Verizon customers regardless of how long you have been with Verizon or how loyal you...
Read moreWas told I could pay cash for a phone and still get the trade in credit. I paid the entire amount including taxes and fees. Fast forward later on I see there’s been a monthly charge of just under $0.30 per month for a finance amount. When I had talked to the rep again he had told me he was required to keep $10 on the account for financing at 0% otherwise I didn’t get the trade in credit. This was not our agreement upon purchase, I explicitly asked multiple times if I pay cash in full I still get the trade in credit, I was reassured multiple times that was accurate.
I have now switched to AT&T because of a great deal presented to me. Upon transferring everything I am not receiving a notice that I must pay off my phone in the amount of $456.78 as my contract has been voided with my transfer. Pretty big difference from $10 to $456.78 when my phone should have been paid in full already anyway.
I had talked to another store in Oswego about this and they told me if I had paid cash for the phone the rep would not have been paid any commission. He had to sell me service plans and financing the phone to get any commission.
I have escalated this to Verizon customer relations to file a complaint and dispute against the store. I also plan to file with the BBB for these sales tactics and fraudulent business practices
