Bass Pro advertises professional pictures but as a professional photographer I think what they do is semi professional. The lighting is often too dark and as a matter of fact larger 6×8 images lack detail and are often pixilated. They really can't say professional when they use an entry level DSLR vs a professional grade and they also need to check lenses and equipment when things don't work as well as they used to. I bet they run the camera in automatic. I know they use an entry level because when I was there I took a peak. Now I'm reviewing at 4 stars because they give one free print and they are nice to offer little freebies to kids. I think that's nice. BUT I spend money in these packages every year and so I know I'd pay a little more for better images. 4×6 images are good although a little dark but at Easter they were almost perfect although a tad too light.. Maybe I'm just nit picking. But 6x8 prints aren't that great but this varies by season oddly enough. Yes photos are a little better then my flagship phone and saves money from buying a backdrop for me to get photos of my son and also saves time setting up since I had a shoulder injury which has taken a long time to heal from. We do this for fun anyway since my son loves seeing Santa and the Easter Bunny. Not huge complaints but I think they can really improve! I also wanted to mention that I've worked with both pro grade and entry level DSLR cameras so even for an entey level they can do better. Maybe check the lenses and equipment daily through the seasons when they shoot. Also updating equipment (camera, lenses or both) can be a huge benefit. Also there was paper and tissue on the floor in the section right where they do photos. The store itself is clean and fun to take kids to see the aquarium and play a little. Store prices are high but as to be expected. They stay so packed during photos for Easter and Christmas and need more workers to handle the photo section. The event planner or whomever isn't doing the best job but they probably just need more workers. My son does enjoy getting Santa pictures and Easter bunny pictures and as a family we enjoy it but the experience can definitely...
Read moreBristol TN Bass Pro. It is bad they cant stand behind their work. I had a problem with my bow and had to have the fall away rest replaced. Instead of doing it myself i figured i would have them do it if they had time since i was there. (Wrong thing to do) They have a full fledge bow shop and all the proper tools to complete the job at hand. The tech took my bow and began to work on it swaping the fall away rests and doing all the proper things. He put the levels on the bow string and arrow to make sure all was square. After he done everything he made the comment it will be so close you wont have to even adjust it. Mind you this took 4hrs. It doesnt take that long to do a full re-string and setup. After waiting amd finally making it back home with an hour and 15 minute drive i shot my bow. The arrow was 2ft high and 3 feet right from where I was aiming. Then I look and the arrow rest wasnt even set right. It was a half inch to the right from being in line with the string and sights. I fixed the problem then as i shot 3 more times the fall away rest came loose and fell. The BASS PRO BOW TECH didnt even tighten any of allen heads thats holds the rest to the bow or the adjustments. I was beyond aggravated. Then to beat it all after that I had to set the timing up on the bow as well that he said he had already done. So after spending $500 that day at Bass Pro to have my bow set up I could of saved time and money just doimg it myself which i had to anyways. I called the manager and left a complaint and they said they would call me back on Monday and discuss making it right. Well here it is 4 days later and nothing. I called again and samething we will call tou right back. This place is a joke. Save your money and time and pay for knowledgeable people. I will...
Read moreI want to say i can't be more pleased with the Bristol location then I am . I purchased a 2025 pro guide v16 last August because my local pro shop in Kodak Tn didn't have one . I had an issue with my trolling motor battery Monday and called Bristol to see what could be done and without hesitation was told to bring it in they would check it and replace on the spot if need be , I asked if I could go to the Kodak location because I am only 15 minutes away in Seymour Tn and was told yes Upon calling Kodak they told me it would be better to go to Bristol were i purchased the boat I explained I talked with them and was told Kodak could take care of it . The woman in service told they would check the battery and send it off for repair , I went back to Bristol today and am so pleased the battery was faulty and was exchanged on the spot . We'll worth the 2 hr drive to deal with people who realy care about their customers and they have always been pleasant to deal with . My wife and I have used bass pro in Kodak for 18 yrs since moving to Tn I do promise after buying multiple garmin fish finders and fishing equipment and spending thousands of dollars in will never set foot in the Kodak location again . Many many thanks to the service department in Bristol and shame on Kodak and they can literally kiss...
