Let's talk about Melty I visited 2 weeks ago at their rush time on a weekend, so I expected that to cause a bump in our experience, but my curiosity kept me optimistic. I definitely advise waiting another month or two and visiting during the less busy hours. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 meals, one combo, and one sampler of my own design. His combo meal included a patty melt, some onion rings, and a fountain drink. He was pleased with his meal overall, but I was aghast at the 5 small to medium-sized onion rings in the bag for the price. I felt like that wasn't the best value for money. My meal was a French Dip, my staple at McAllisters, and a dipper of the broccoli soup with a root beer float (a guilty pleasure.) We waited for about 50 minutes total before receiving our order, as was as expected, however, we were missing our 2 complimentary dipping sauces and my French dip au jus. We waited several minutes at the counter to be noticed and were informed we got the last singular dip container and that they ran out of au jus. Now that last part... had me a bit upset. When you're out of ingredients, let the register associate know, and maybe make a sign! That was the best part of my meal completely missing! Nonetheless, as we watched the 30 some people waiting in line as we sat to eat I did find the sandwich to be okay, with a familiar taste and decent roast beef, but again it was not the best value for money. I find McAllisters to have an advantage over them given how little the price difference would have been, and I would have left 100% satisfied. The soup was in a very small cup, but I only wanted to give it a try, and it was fair. I included pictures and a bonus cheese pull that was a bit on the gummy side, haha. If you want to try it and make it an affordable meal as opposed to our $35 glorified grilled cheeses, I suggest grabbing a drink and some chips at the gas station and then grab a Melty sandwich and enjoy the view of the pinnacle outside, as, side note, their ventilation left me dizzy by the smell of grease and smoke. And by the way, make that root beer float at home. It's just vanilla bean and the fountain root beer. Check out the photos below and add a like if I helped you out! Thanks!

Couldn't wait to try this place but left feeling a bit disappointed. The cashier was great. I think she said she had moved here from Chicago, was very friendly. She's the ONLY reason you're getting any stars for service. It takes way too long to get food here for what you're making. It's a sandwich. I can throw some warmed up brisket and cheese on a couple of pieces of bread and have it melted in under 5 minutes. The food left me unsatisfied. I expected a bigger sandwich for the price and more tater tots. Spending over $15 on one meal should mean you're getting a meal not a regular sized sandwich and a few tots. If you can get a footlong sub at subway for less and it's twice the size of what you're getting here what does that tell you? The restaurant is too small for the rush it's getting. If you want to actually eat in, good luck...you'll be brushing into other people who are trying to eat as you're leaving your table. You're basically sitting shoulder to shoulder. Last, but certainly not least....that was NOT sweet tea. You're in the South, yall really need to learn the difference in sweet tea and whatever that was. I almost asked for a different cup simply because of how bad it was.

Most people that know me know that grilled cheese is my all time favorite food. I literally order it in every restaurant I go to. I make it at home as well. I know more about grilled cheese than most humans. This is how much I love grilled cheese. So, you can imagine how excited I was when I saw a place like Melty's popping up near me. Well I finally tried it. I got a basic grilled cheese just to try the place out. First the 1st shift staff was not over friendly nor were they average customer service friendly. They did their job but left their smiles and excitement elsewhere. There was no one in the store they had just opened. Maybe they were disappointed as I was in the food. I'm not sure but, I got it and I took one bite then saved it for the stray cats that hang out at my house. It was literally the worst grilled cheese I have ever had. It made the Freddy's BUN grilled cheese look like a super star. The bread was smashed and seemed to be pressed on something flat not grilled. The American cheese was not melty at all it was more like pulling plastic apart. This was definitely not quality cheese I expected. The bread was huge but that's all it had going for it. The flavor of the bread was no better than a great value Walmart bread. I was disappointed with the food. I was disappointed with the service. I would not go back. Even if they see this review and offer me a coupon to return I would still not go back. The stray cat took a few bits then left it for the racoon. This is very telling considering she eats almost anything including YAMS. The raccoon did eat the grilled cheese but, he also eats garbage. So, I would not take his recommendations on amazing things to dine on. The only thing positive about the place is it...

Was super excited to try this place and finally got to go today however I was highly disappointed and paid $55 dollar to be let down royally. The restaurant was semi-busy when we got there, we placed our order (chicken avacado sandwich meal with chipotle mayo and mac and cheese bites and a patty melt meal with mac and cheese bites). We were very surprised it was $55 for the food alone. After we ordered we waited over an hour before our food was ready. While waiting we heard several tables around us talking about the “overpriced nasty food” however we held out hope. The food was finally ready after seeing people who ordered before and after us get their food. The Mac and cheese bites were flavorless, burnt, and was $8 for 3. They also left out the dip for the bites. Upon opening the sandwiches the patty melt looked like a tv dinner quality sandwich and I was given the incorrect sandwich. We informed the workers and it took another 15+ min to make the correct sandwich. The sandwich was missing the sauce and was low quality. While waiting we saw 3 other customers come back because of incorrect meals. Really sad that for $55 and 2 hours of time resulted in disgusting poor quality food that a child could make better. The staff behind the counter for scratching their head while making the food and did not seem to be in any rush nor did they have any care for the poor quality food they were serving. The lady sitting next to us waiting well over an hour and 15 min and still did not have her food when we left. Good idea for a buisness HORRIBLE execution. Paid $55 for a...
