The restaurant is well located and easy to find. Didn't have any problems finding good parking on a Friday night @ 7:30. Once inside we were attended to quickly and seated with little to no wait time. Service was good however, below what one would expect from an establishment with their reputation. There was staff not wearing face masks/coverings, although there was a sign on the door stating that all patrons had to wear a mask, so if this a concern for you, you may want to choose another establishment for your dining needs. Food was served fairly quickly as were the drinks. The guacamole was surprisingly fresh and of decent quality. Their beans appear to be rehydrated and of a quality one would expect from a fast food restaurant. The restroom was in a very bad state. Much like one would expect from a stadium restroom during the Super Bowl. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for anything more than a last minute, no other option, hungry and need food now meal.

I ordered a burrito to go. I explicitly informed the staff member taking my order that I wanted it dry, so that I could eat it with my hands. Then he asked if I wanted salsa on top. I said I wanted salsa on the inside and repeated that I wanted it dry on the outside so that I could eat it with my hands. As you can see from the photo, it’s smothered and impossible to eat with one’s hands, which I discovered when I reached a rest stop. By the time I reached my hotel about an hour and a half later, where I could try to eat it with utensils, it was cold. Because it was in a metal container, I couldn’t heat it in the microwave in my hotel room. I had to throw it away.

We moved to the Bristol area about 3 years ago and have been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant. Although they advertise themselves as such, it didn’t fit the bill for me. The food (though plentiful and served piping hot) lacked any of the delicious taste I expected. I had the fajita burrito which was recommended by the server after I described what I was looking for. The presentation was beautiful. The burrito was huge and filled to the brim, but sadly it was bland and the meat was tough as a glove. I didn’t taste a hint of any seasoning. They could have knocked this out of the park, but totally missed it. Won’t give it another try. Too disappointed.

I have eaten at lacarretas over 25-30 years now. And for the most part it’s great food and service. But I just left the one at the pinnacle in Bristol Tn. It’s my wife, our 6 year old son and me. Once we finally got our food which was over 40 minutes after we had ordered we’re eating and suddenly my wife takes a bite of the special da lacosa and remind u we’re about halfway in to eating and she has a big black hair in her mouth. She is a redhead woman my son has blonde hair and I have a light brown dark blonde hair and instantly she’s about to throw up. I get the attention of the waitress and show her everything she wants to make more food and obviously I told my son to stop eating I didn’t take another bite and I basically had to insist on talking to management. So the manager comes says she doesn’t have any employees that have long BLACK Hair!! Literally and she says she will not charge for my wife meal and walks away. The waitress comes and says she fixed it and didn’t charge for her meal OK but I obviously will not take another bite nor have my son to the waitress said that she meaning that manager will not do anything else so I say I need to talk to her because I’m not going to finish this food nor my family and I’m waiting about 10 minutes and finally I see the manager walking my way she stands right beside me and then says WHAT IS THE PROBLEM NOW!!!! Like I was someone who was trying to get something for nothing and I said I will not eat this other burrito and my son will not eat his tacos because I am not going to chance eating hair and after she realizes that she is not going to win this argument she grabs the receipt from my hand and says Don’t worry about u just take the food for free and instead of asking me if there’s anything she can do to make it right she pops off and says that in front of the whole restaurant and insinuates that I was just trying to eat something for free and humiliated me I say that I will pay her double as long as she eats it and she acts like she doesn’t hear me and she starts talking in Spanish so I don’t know what she is saying I spoke clearly that she is the worst person/manager that I have encountered in my 42 years of life and walked out the door. I will never be eating food from there again and my advice to anyone who is going to be eating there to double check your food before you eat it. Worst customer service I’ve...

I would have given them 0 stars if I could have. We have eaten at LaCaretta 100’s of times and have never had a bad experience until we came to this one. First, it took forever to be waited on and get water to drink with our chips and salsa. Then, when the food finally came it was not hot, the taco shells were stale and there was about a third of the beans and rice that is normally served. Everyone knows the food at LaCaretta is always super hot and fast, but not here. No one ever came back to check on us so we had to flag the server down who was training someone new. When we told the server, who was training the new girl, our issues with the food she said “well not all LaCaretta’s are the same”. It’s a franchise!!!! Really? They finally brought us new food about 15 min later and it was hot this time, but still very little beans and rice and little to no cheese on the beans. No one ever came back to check on us one time after bringing the food the 2nd time. It’s sad that this server was training someone new and did nothing but show this poor girl how to be the worst server ever! So then we go to pay the check and the women that rang us up never said one word to us. Wow! This was definitely not even close to the LaCarettas that we have been eating at for years. We will NEVER go back or recommend this...

Very disappointed with this visit. My children and I drive 48 minutes to the la carreta at the pinnacle. We do so to eat dinner with my husband, he works near by. We do this maybe once a month during his lunch break. We came in and was seated immediately. 22 minutes later the lady making chips asked to get us drinks. I think she noticed our waiter going by us a few times without stopping. The actual waiter stopped at our table after 34 mintues of sitting with just drinks. We should have just left. BUT we ordered and made everything simple no changes or extras. We ended up flagging our waiter down at 48 mintues of no food and told him to make them to go asap, we had to get back to work. He said its out of his hands. So we went to just pay up fron for our drinks. We told the cashier what was happening and he ran back to the back and came out with our "to go" foods. So now we paid for foods we have to wait to eat at home and microwave it. My husband will not get to eat until his 15 minute break and no way to heat it up. (We opened our foods and it was thrown in and maybe half the portions). We are running out of places to eat that can do their job. We will not be visiting this loction...
