I had one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time with John at the Dyson Service Center in Brookfield after Dyson corporate failed to fulfill a battery replacement under warranty for our Dyson V10 cordless vacuum - more on this later. John helped me out in the store and the process could not have been easier. I was out the door with a new battery for our Dyson in less than 5 minutes. I could hardly believe it after the experience I had with attempting to get my battery replaced through Dyson corporate with their text system. Thank you John for making my day and getting me a working vacuum.
*A message for Dyson corporate - I first completed the warranty claim process for a dead battery on our Dyson V10 cordless vacuum 6 months ago and submitted all information through Dyson’s text troubleshooting system. I had registered this product with Dyson when first purchased, and I knew the battery was still under warranty (less than 2 years old). After submitting the info to Dyson, I was informed via auto text the replacement battery would arrive in 7-15 business days. The replacement part did not arrive and I heard nothing from Dyson on the matter. Life got busy and I put this issue on the back burner until about 1 month ago when I decided to give it another go considering I had a worthless $400 vacuum sitting in the closet which should be covered under warranty. I should note that it is very frustrating that Dyson does not provide any actual humans to speak with on the phone about customer service matters considering the price they are charging for their vacuums and the durability issues many customers experience with their products. I again received no battery replacement after going through the warranty claim process through Dyson’s auto text method, which at this point I must say is completely worthless from a customer standpoint. Again, no communication was provided by Dyson, no case number for reference, no human to speak with, no replacement part. Not fulfilling valid warranty claims made by customers is absolutely unacceptable customer service, especially for a brand like Dyson which charges a premium for their products. Even if the claim had been successfully processed, having customers wait 7-15 business days for a simple replacement part is ridiculous. Dyson corporate failed to deliver a replacement battery under warranty on 2 separate occasions. I thought I was out of options until I saw there was a Dyson Service Store in Brookfield which thankfully made up for the horrible customer service provided by Dyson corporate. I will gladly drive to Brookfield from now on should we encounter any future issues...
Read moreWe have a cordless Dyson and it had been "acting up" lately. I did some research online, and symptoms suggested we contact a Dyson service center. I found the Brookfield, WI location, left them a message (they were closed when I called), and they promptly called me back the next business day! After establishing the vacuums bonifieds (provided the serial #), John (the amazing tech at Dyson) was able to walk us through a series of troubleshooting steps to determine the root cause (OVER THE PHONE)! We are over 2 hours away (one way) to their store, so this was a godsend! It turned out to be the filter in the unit, and while we routinely "blew" out the dust, it obviously has caked up over time. He explained that it could be washed out, and suggested replacing the filter. We were able to process a purchase of replacement filters (I got an extra), and he clearly explained about the shipping fees. This was still way cheaper than driving to Brookfield and back with the price of gas! John explained that we should receive the parts within a couple of days, it came the NEXT DAY before NOON! I also worked on washing out our existing filter, I let it soak in hot water and I was amazed at how much fine dirt had built up and caked in over the years, even with us blowing out the filter routinely. Bottom line, the money we invested in this vacuum and the support we've gotten when needed are refreshing! I'm not sure who John's manager is, but I'm here to publicly state his customer service was top notch! Don't let him get away! Thanks much, Judy G (a very satisfied customer)! PS - hubby's comment with the new filter.... "WOW! Now...
Read moreBefore I share the reason for my review, let me start by saying that I was not happy about the fact that I had to drive to this location. I was shocked to learn that WI has one service center. So, in all honesty when I finally gave in and made the drive I was a little upset. I wish they had additional locations but it is what it is.
The reason for this 5 star review is Britney. What an incredible Customer Service Rep. I know that is not her title but she took care of us.
We arrived when the store reopened after the lunch break. We were greeted immediately and Britney took our vacuum piece to the back to work on it right away while we checked in. I was impressed.
Britney was so kind, prompt and informative. She was through and fast. When she was done and we were ready to leave, she showed us a new model and explained the benefits of it. We will consider upgrading our vacuum thanks to this information.
Britney took time to answer our questions and share knowledge with us. Again, she was so kind and helpful. We left very happy!!!
I left not stressed out about the drive there and pleased that we made it happen. Dyson is legit and they employ awesome staff at their service centers. ...
