I purchased an Open-box refrigerator that was graded in excellent condition due to having only 2 light scratches on one of the stainless steel door panels. When I came back to pick it up, it was shrink wrapped and didn’t even think to check for any new damage that may have happened. 2 employees helped us load it in my truck and both were very careful when lifting it into the truck bed. I get home and before even taking it of my truck, I notice a dent on one of the doors through the shrink wrap. I take the shrink wrap off in the bed of the truck and notice several other new area of damage. 5 dents on one of the door panels, numerous dents and scratches on the bottom left side, and a large chip near the top of the door. I tried calling Best Buy to see if they gave us the wrong fridge or an explanation for the damage but was forwarded to their call center since the stores do not receive incoming customers calls anymore. I talked to 2 different phone representatives that could not help me and said I had to go through geek squad which is closed on Sunday. I ended up just going back to the store and returning it. Return was hassle-less but they could’ve cared less that they damaged the fridge when preparing it for pickup. Read moreThe reason they got 2 stars is for the employees. They are very nice. However we purchased a $600 microwave to install in one of our properties. Of course like any remodel time line gets pushed back. We went to install the microwave today(we purchased it 1/25/2025 Today is 2/11/2025). It is missing the bracket. So I called Best Buy customer support. What a joke. Basically stated because it is out of the 15 day window, (So much for buying the Best Buy plus plan70 days to return- don’t buy it it’s a scam ) Samsung Will not send the bracket or except us to return the brand new microwave. When we talk to the second person Amon. I told him we spent $50,000 at Abt Appliances last year. We were thinking of bringing all our business to Best Buy And he said sorry you have to still return the microwave. I said if I return this microwave, I’m not buying another one. I will take my business elsewhere. We have Lowe’s, Menards, Home Depot. You know what he said? he said Take your business to Home Depot. The only reason why I wasted another 15 minutes of my time to write this review when I just spent two hours on the phone, trying to get through to customer service to know avail Is to warn any anybody else you may have a great experience at the store however once it breaks or it’s missing something good luck trying to get customer service in another state to make it right. My spouse asked them if they could please open it and make sure it was functioning and had all the pieces, but they said they wouldn't do that as it was verified as working per Geek Squad. Got it home, and it was missing the power cord and screws. Frustrating, but we purchased our own power cord and screws to install and plug it in. The screen had significant damage (obvious discoloration on one side of the screen). I'm guessing Geek Squad didn't actually check it. I get it, working retail sucks (I've done it), but we had to borrow a truck and take a day to pick up and install the thing. Then we had to get a truck, again, and take time off of work to bring it back (went to a different store, and the staff weren't helpful there, either). They have great deals on appliances and electronics but just keep in mind that the staff are clearly not paid enough to actually care, and if something goes wrong, you're SOL.
