Ethan Allen — Local services in Brookfield

Already in the process of decorating our Door County condo with another decorator, my wife and I visited the Ethan Allen Showroom in Brookfield just to pick out a desk for our son. There we met Wendy Williams, one of the designers and our decorating experience improved dramatically. In a relaxed, informative and upbeat manner she interpreted our vision almost immediately. It helped a lot that we liked the Ethan Allen style already, but Wendy made it come alive by selecting unusual and interesting fabrics that she had familiarity with at her finger tips. Within a couple hours, we had picked out several pieces that we were truly excited about and looked forward to seeing in our new condo. The process went from tedious and frustrating to fun and creative. In short, Wendy helped us select all of the furniture in our Door County home and we are so proud to show it off. Hard to believe that Wendy could work with two novices asking for "cool California wine country" and come up with something so unique...

Years ago I furnished much of a new house with EA furniture. Things have changed. Three weeks ago I purchased a chair which was a floor sample, another custom chair and 2 accessories. Told i could pick up my floor sample anytime I sent my boys to pick it up but they were unable to get it in the SUV. They kindly called to get a Uhaul van to pick it up. Letting Glenn know the boys would be back on "Sunday" to pick it up the floor sample with the rented van he tells me they sent my purchased chair to IL for delivery?! (I live 20 min from store in WI). He apologized and said I'd get a call Monday for delivery. No call Monday or Tuesday so I call the store asking about delivery n find out the chair is in detroit. When I asked about delivery this week yet I was told that "maybe next week but the truck might be full." What?! Very surprised a store like EA would be this unconcerned about customer service. At this point I just want my money back for everything...

The very expensive sectional sofa I just got is rock hard. The seat cushions are hard, the back cushions are hard. The sofa delivered is nothing like what I sat in at the store. When I emailed the sales lady about the hard cushions, she said the store’s cushions are softer because people have been sitting in it. Honestly, I dont believe that because mine is so hard. Now the repair guy is coming to my house…but he’s not going to be able to fix this. I’m going to have to replace the cushion inserts. I would never recommend their sofas. Ethan Allen doesn’t know how to design a soft, pillowy, comfy sofa to cuddle up on for 4 kids and a dog that you can take a nap on. They don’t have soft material like chenille or corduroy. Look at the photos on their websites. They don’t design liveable furniture that is comfy. Look elsewhere for...
