Came in to research a cell phone. I needed a second phone for work. I was told immediately it was illegal to sell an unlocked phone. This is a flat out lie. It may be policy not to, and I would have accepted that. To say it is an illegal thing to do is very immoral, deceptive, misleading and WRONG!!! They also said it would take 60 days to get an unlocked phone activated.
I was researching the second phone from my first phone. IT is unlocked and on a company called Ting. I got my second phone as a mobile work number at work today. It was activated in TEN minutes!!!!
I work for a place doing computer repair, and have heard all kinds of boldface lies from competitors taking advantage of those who don't know better. If I wasn't in a rush I would GLADLY have called the lying manager out.

Read moreI have been to the Spectrum in Brookfield, WI 2x in the last week. I was told by a customer service person via phone to go visit the Spectrum Store for assistance. When I walked in the doorbell rings and no one acknowledged me both times i went there. I'm walking up to the service desk area looking at somebody to help me while all five customer service employees are looking down at their cellphones. This is supposed to a service center. That means you are required to perform great customer service. Acknowledge people as they walk in the door. Ask what you can help them with. The guy I talked to wouldn't even look up my address to see if the new fiber is in my area. I did not receive any help. I was told to call the service center again. This is why Spectrum has a bad rap. I have been told the Delafield store is much better. I will go...
