I walked in, to a beautiful store with beautiful furnishings, exactly what I was looking for. I had heard the Sales person speaking to Customers, and when moving around the store, I finally saw her and the Customers she was speaking to about a piece they had bought; with a very typical sales pitch, and if that works for you great!
However as she looked over at me, and quickly turned away, I didn't get so much as even a "hello," or a "hi, have a look around," or even "I am with Customers, but will be with you shortly." So, even though I sensed the energy and her total lacking of kindness, as not only a fellow Human being, but also a Sales Person, I continued to just look around at some pieces.
As, she and the Customer she was speaking to moved about the store and passed me, again, not even a "hello," not even a "get the hell out of here."
After finding a few pieces I liked, I was taking some measurements, and as she passed me, again, not even a word like, "beautiful piece, I can help you shortly," or something to that extent. At that point, I said, "I wouldn't buy something from this store or this Sales Person, regardless of what I found.
I also decided, that it would be the right thing to do to write this review for those of you considering going there. Do yourself a favor and DON'T, especially on this beautiful Sunday, or on the days this particular female Sales Person works; that is unless you like being treated as if you are not as good or deserving as her, or the Customer she was speaking to.
See, what she may not of figured out by looking at me, that as an Actor, Writer, Author and Speaker, with a Spouse who is an Executive at one of the Fortune 500 Companies, I could very easily of re-decorated anything I choose to when I choose to, however I am not pretentious, nor would I ever treat anyone less than I would want to be treated. I really don't even like typing here what I am or I am capable of, however I believe the Owners, and or Managers, Partners of this store might want to know this.
At first, I thought about putting this information on one of, if not all of my Public Figure pages on social media, then I thought that would be me allowing myself to get down to the level of that Sales Person, so I decided that I would just write this review here, because I do believe that people do need to be taught and learn everyday, wether it be a lesson they are commended for, or one they should learn from. Obviously, this is one she should have to learn from, and possibly may need to have the Team she reports to explain to her, not only the revenue they lost from me, but how much other revenue they may have lost on other Customers who may have had the same, or similar experience.
As I put the tape measure I borrowed from a nearby table back, I decided it was time to leave. I turned towards the Sales Person and the Customers, as they were looking at something else she was trying to sell them, I raised my hand, and loudly said across the store, "Thank You, have a nice day." The Customers turned, the Sales Person I speak of turned and looked at me one last time, however never even stopped her sales pitch, to even have the courtesy of saying maybe, "goodbye," or, "sorry I am tied up, here is my card."
The facts are, she never said one word to me the entire time I was in that store. "Shame on you Ms. or Mrs., and shame on the people who put you in that position, without the proper training, or tools."
If you want to physically see what happened, watch Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, when she goes into the dress store with all that money to buy new clothing, and how the Sales Girls treated her. Actually, at least those Sales Girls spoke to her!
If you like pretentious, and you like being treated as if you are inferior then ABSOLUTELY, go there! I think we all know the right answer...

We ordered a table from Stickley Audi-Brookfield, our salesperson was Leslie & she assured us a number of times that we could cancel the order anytime we changed our minds & in fact told us that we didn't have to take receipt of the table upon delivery if we found it unstable. We ultimately canceled the order (it was not yet shipped) & the woman I spoke with called me back to confirm that Leslie had confirmed to her that she did advise us we could cancel. Then they charged my account. I called to advise the order was cancelled & was told by the gentleman that "we would owe nothing" & he would take care of it. Today I get a call from Leslie insisting that she never said we could cancel - I told her this was not only disingenuous, it was absolutely dishonest & appears to be an attempt to cover herself for not following company protocols (which is not my problem). I spoke w/the manager who attempted to tell me it was a "miscommunication" & refused to hear that it was actually dishonesty on the part of her salesperson and we are not in the habit of being called liars. They want a 25% re-stocking fee & are refusing to acknowledge that the salesperson lied to us in her assurance that we could cancel the table and even refuse delivery.
Despite their assertions, this is NOT an honest or reputable company and I would absolutely NOT consider conducting any business with them at all. I have filed a formal complaint w/corporate (it must be delivered via e-mail only - no phone number) & have disputed the charge w/our credit issuer. It is extremely disheartening to find out that you've done business with dishonest people and have to defend yourself against their lies. I suggest that everyone take Notice.

   Read moreTerrific customer service, even in the middle of the pandemic. While on lockdown during April 2020, I realized how shabby some of our furniture had become. I found some pieces I liked in the Stickley Audi on-line catalogue and emailed customer service about pricing. I almost didn't expect to hear back, given that so many retail stores across the country were closed. But I got a very nice email back the next business day from Susan Benedetti, the manager of the Brookfield, CT store, thanking me for my inquiry and promising she'd get back to me shortly with price information. I heard back from her a couple of hours later, which amazed me, because that is not a typical customer service turn-around time that I've ever dealt with, even when there is no pandemic. Not only was Susan prompt, she was a pleasure to work with on email and phone. The best part for me was that she seemed genuinely glad to be working with me, even while short staffed and busy with many other customers who were taking advantage of a sale. I couldn't ask for a better, more welcoming and personable...
