Recently, I started physical therapy in Brookfield and nearly every time I went, I would pass this cute little shack called Jester’s Coffee. Always eager to try a new coffee shop, I decided to stop in. Unfortunately, both the atmosphere and the food left a lot to be desired.
Walking in, I wish Jester’s had more charm to match their whimsical namesake. The interior was bare with grey muted tones, and worn down leather seating. For a coffee shop and cafe, I wish they had more treats on display.
In terms of food, I ordered a Turkish Latte and a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. I decided to eat inside and everything was out relatively quickly.
Unfortunately, not only did I not enjoy my food, I was actually disgusted by it. The Turkish Latte was generally fine, albeit lacking in true flavor. Biting into my wrap, I can only describe the taste I experienced as “chemical” in nature. The sauce lacked spice and the blue cheese had an unpleasant, almost “old,” tanginess to it. I could only stomach a few bites.
While I hate to give a small business a “bad” review, Jester’s Coffee just simply isn’t the...

They seem to always be short on food; the number of times I've heard "this is our last bagel" while waiting on line is a bit ridiculous. Today I couldn't have a sandwich that comes on a hard roll because they had no more hard rolls, at 11 am. It ended up taking 40 minutes to get an espresso and a sandwich on one of 3 bagels remaining. The fellow after me got his cream cheese and lox on a cinnamon raisin because that was all the baked goods remaining. As much as I like the people who work here, I can't keep coming to this place if they don't have what their customers want and it takes almost three times as long...

They were more concerned with talking to each other, and not completely about work, than tending to customers. The one who took my order was not fully engaged in what she was doing; therefore, not surprisingly, the order came out wrong. I told her three times "no tomatoes" please. Of course, when I opened up the sandwich, there were tomatoes. I asked for onions and black pepper - didn't get those.
Other than that, the decor and atmosphere of the place were quaint, it was clean, and the...
