Summary: Lukewarm experience at Big Peachtree Ride and Run - staff seemed unenthusiastic and only provided neutral or cold service, despite being friendly with each other, I'll still shop at Big Peachtree Ride and Run due to its offerings, I'm disappointed in the customer service and now feel like I need to fend for myself when visiting the store. As a running enthusiast and volunteer, I was disappointed to see this lack of energy and positivity in a store that should embody the spirit of the running community. @social_media_gen
Full Review:
I visited Big Peachtree Ride and Run with an open mind, but my experience was lukewarm at best. From the moment I walked in, I had to initiate interactions with the customer service team. When I asked to use the restroom, the response was neutral, and when I came out, no one offered to help me or even acknowledged my presence.
As I browsed the store for about 45 minutes to an hour, I noticed a lack of enthusiasm from the staff. I had to approach them multiple times for assistance, and each time, the response was neutral or even cold. One staff member seemed particularly uninterested in helping me, almost as if they'd rather be socializing with their colleagues than attending to customers.
What's striking is that when these staff members were interacting with each other or other customers, they were energetic and friendly. However, when it came to helping me, the attitude was dull and unenthusiastic. I couldn't help but wonder if it was because I wasn't making a purchase. It felt like I wasn't worth their time or effort.
As I left the store, I couldn't help but wonder if I had done something to trigger the poor customer service. I replayed our interactions in my head, but I couldn't think of anything I'd done or said that would have warranted such a cold response. It left me feeling puzzled.
Overall, my experience was disappointing. The lack of initiative from the staff and their seemingly conditional customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not looking for a hard sell, but a bit of enthusiasm and genuine customer care would go a long way. Unfortunately, Big Peachtree Ride and Run fell short in that department.
Despite this experience, I'll still shop at Big Peachtree Ride and Run, but it's unfortunate that I now feel like I need to be self-sufficient and prepared for a lackluster experience. Ideally, any customer deserves better, and I hope to see improvements in customer service in the future.
If the store's general manager or the company would like to reach out and discuss my experience, I'd be happy to hear from them. You can find me on Instagram at...
Read moreMy husband purchased two gift cards for me to get a pair of shoes and some insoles for my birthday. I went to the Big Peach to purchase the shoes and insoles in January or February of this year. I spent a little over $300 on the shoes and insoles. The sales associate was very helpful and kind. I asked him how long the shoes would last, I planned to use the shoes for walking a couple times a week, which I did. He informed me they should last a year. As of July the shoes are super uncomfortable and even painful on the heal. I take the shoes and insoles back to the store because they only lasted half the time I was told at the time of sale. The manager then informs me that the shoes only last 6 months to 1 year and offered me $50 off on another pair. This unacceptable. I should have just purchased a pair of Hokas from Nordstrom. The staff is friendly but there is really no reason to purchase a pair of shoes at the Big Peach over a department store, other then the insoles.
Response to Company reply: I called the store the night before to ask about the return/exchange policy. I was told I would be able to return/exchange the shoes when the manager was there the next day. I came in to see the manager the next day. He said I would be able to get $50 for the $200+ shoes I purchased 6 months ago. So, thanks for the reply but that is not the...
Read moreBig Peach has been my go to running store since I started running in 2010. They have several locations and although this one moved from further down Peachtree into Town Brookhaven, I feel like this is home base for me. I have been here numerous times for all sorts of different activities. But no matter what is going on or who is helping you, everyone is extremely friendly. If you want to start running Big Peach is the place to go. They will get you fitted for some shoes and I was very surprised to learn things about my running style and sneaker needs that I did not know before. They will set you up and then let you try different shoes that fit your needs. You can even run outside for a bit to try them out. They want you to make an informed purchase. At Big Peach you can buy sneakers, clothes, nutrition goodies, recovery items, you name it if you need it they will have it. You can also sign up for races, one of their run groups or go online and sign up for some clinics. The clinics are free and often very helpful. They have a Good Form running clinic that is very beneficial. Customer service is top notch. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The manager at this location is Dave and if you have any problems he steps up to help out. Check out Big Peach, they have several locations around Atlanta and a great...
