Excelsior! Crikey! Holy Moly! Comics!!! The best comic shop in Boston. Unbelievable! Friar Tuck Go!
Is this the best comic shop on the East Coast of the United States?
Just over a year old and yet it has the atmosphere of confidence and brilliance, because the stock is there and it's set out in a pristine way. Pride and appreciation!
There's a wee vid of the construction an incredible and inspiring achievement and now we have a wonderful comic shop.
This store has so many comics, so well organized into it's large space. I'm astounded. .
There is a massive amount of Marvel, DC and independent comics, but also the Grails, the rarities, those books you want and need and the classic underground comics, so many, one rarely sees more than a couple of bins - maybe 20 draw boxes. Magazine sized, reference, new comics, cards and so many wonderful things.
Under every bin or "stacks" as is the Boston parlance there are two drawer boxes with more stock. All in order. It's so neat and impressive.
Rob is incredibly nice, friendly and knowledgeable, Yakob and the rest of the team are a delight. It's a place people can come and enjoy, chairs, chat and all the time, comics coming in and being processed.
They had a stupendous sale on and I found some very odd titles and walked away with that is for me a grail!!!!
The stock is so utterly impressive silver, bronze and of course modern.
The reckoning is about 90,000 comics, keenly priced, but the 3 cabinets filled with so many unusual, hard to find and key items.
4 copies of Hulk 180! Detective 251. Hulk 181! Crikey almighty.
The walls lined with great comics and with the sale, a phenomenal starting point. And then 20 boxes of Dollar Comics....
It's a comics fans destination.
The shop is full, full I say, of well organised and sorted comics.
It's was a pleasure to visit. To hang out, to chat to be allowed to see such comic book gems. A friendliness that exemplifies the...

The Pokemon section was small relative to the rest of the stuff in the store, but there was more Pokemon cards in there than any other card shop I've been to in the greater Boston area. Their sealed product is pretty expensive (above MSRP, except for individual packs), and they don't have a lot of it, but I was impressed with their singles collection.
A really nice variety that seems to be regularly changing. Stuff from different eras, a good variety of mons, and everything was at approximately market pricing. A wide range of price ranges too (and well organized to boot). I'm personally interested in X&Y and SWSH era stuff, but there was a lot more cool vintage stuff (some really nice ex grails that hurt my heart to pass up on).
I sold some cards to them and they gave me a pretty healthy 60% in trade (50% cash) given the price range of the cards I was giving them (pretty much $1-$5). I got more money from selling those cards to them than I would have if I listed them on TCGPlayer, and instead of the margin going to a big company, it goes to a store that supports the community....

The atmosphere is really nice, not too crowded but has collectibles spread throughout the store. The store seems to specialize in comic books, and there had to be at least 2,000 of them within the store. They have comic books lining nearly all of the walls, and the prices seemed reasonable based on what I could see. A lot of comic books for many different series, as well as a lot of first appearances and key issues within the store, with them being clearly labeled.
They also have a miniature, but still sizeable section dedicated to products for card games like Yugioh, Pokemon, and MTG. The prices were a little higher than market price (based on TCGPlayer), but for the guarantee of the quality of the product and not having to pay shipping, I feel like it is a justified higher pricing. They also had Japanese products for the games like yugioh/pokemon, and is one of the only places in the area that I've seen have Rush Duel cards.
I didn't talk to any employees since they were preoccupied with what I assume was a massive shipment to the store, but they seemed friendly and very passionate regarding the collectibles they had.
Highly recommend checking the store out if you are a comic...
