If you’re looking for a spot to cure your craving for freshly-sliced corned beef and pastrami sandwiches you must give Zaftigs Deli a try! I decided to give it a try the other night! They’re most famous for their ginormous sandwiches, but their menu doesn’t disappoint! The establishment does offer breakfast service and a solid breakfast menu. There, you’ll find breakfast burritos, French toast, pancakes, blintzes, omelettes, eggs Benedict, and Zaftigs breakfast sandwich. They also have unique offerings, like potato pancakes, corn beef hash and eggs, fried-egg BLTs, pastrami scrambles, lox and scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, oatmeal, smoked salmon and avocado toast, and so much more! They also offer a solid selection of sides to go with your breakfast, as well as a solid bakery/pastry selection! While I have yet to try their breakfast, I am confident in saying it will be incredible. Breakfast is served until close! This time, I decided to give their lunch/dinner menu a browse. They have a wide variety of soups, starters, sandwiches, salads, Latkes, Signature Entrees, burgers, patty melts, and a huge menu of Signature Sandwiches! For those with a sweet tooth, they have a solid bakery/sweets selection that is sure to please! I decided to order “The New Yorker Sandwich”. This sandwich includes 12-ounces of hot pastrami, corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing- all served on light rye with your choice of side. The side selection could certainly be improved! The fries were food-service grade, very poor quality fries to serve with a great sandwich. They should be offering hand-cut fries. The potato salad and coleslaw is also unfortunately very disappointing. The sandwich was MASSIVE. You can easily split a signature sandwich with another person, it’s PLENTY of food! Even with your side dish, they also include half-sour pickle, green tomatoes, & a full-sour pickle. The portions here are incredibly generous and the food is phenomenal! I do wish they offered sides of sauce as an available add-on. I’d also love to see the side dish options greatly improved. The quality of the sides is very poor and the selection is nearly non-existent. I look forward to eating here again! If you’re hungry and craving a piping hot reuben/corned beef- you have to give Zaftigs a try! You won’t be disappointed! Everything was delivered piping hot and packed with care. We both were full after splitting their sandwich and ordering an appetizer or two! The price is well worth the portion sizes offered here. If they could just improve the quality and selection of dessert and side-dish items, they’d earn that fifth star from me!

Rating Reflection: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟“Great” barely scratches the surface when describing the Zaftigs experience. It’s a culinary landmark that’s a must-visit, transcending the boundaries of Massachusetts with its universal appeal for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Homey Decor: 🏠💺Stepping into Zaftigs is like entering a classic diner, complete with an ambiance that feels like home. The setup strikes a perfect balance, offering ample space for comfortable conversations while still maintaining that vibrant city diner buzz. Service Excellence: 🙋♂️☕The service at Zaftigs is consistently top-notch. The staff’s attention to detail, from constant beverage refills to prompt and accurate order handling, ensures every dining experience is nothing short of perfect. Culinary Delight: 🍲🥞Zaftigs sets the gold standard for food quality. The menu, though not overly extensive, is meticulously crafted, featuring Jewish delicacies alongside beloved brunch classics. The Matzah Ball Soup is a heartwarming nod to tradition, served just right - piping hot. The apple and cheddar omelet, a delightful blend of sweet and savory, defies expectations, while the French Toast, served to my girlfriend, redefines fluffiness. Every dish is a testament to Zaftigs’ commitment to culinary excellence. In Retrospect: 🤔Zaftigs isn’t just a deli; it’s an institution that celebrates the joy of dining. Whether it’s the wait, the season, or the dish, the experience at Zaftigs is worth every moment. Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - “Great”“Zaftigs: Where Every Meal Feels Like Coming Home.” For an unforgettable dining experience that feels like a warm embrace, Zaftigs Delicatessen is the place to be. It’s more than food; it’s a feast for the soul. 🍴❤️🥞

This is one of the best food spots I've been to in the Greater Boston area. I came here for a meeting off recommendation, and let me tell you, I'm glad. It's a must try. The entire vibe of Zaftigs is "old diner". The menu is large, but, unlike other eateries, this is not an affliction. I'm sure every item on it is delicious. I particularly got the Banana Stuffed French Toast and a Sesame Bagel with cream cheese. Both dishes were on the smaller side (by my standards), but well worth it for experience. For the French Toast, they brought over extra powdered sugar and syrup for me, and but I didn't need it. The toast had its own rich flavor, and the filling was super sweet. The bagel was hearty and the cream cheese was rich -- like any good deli. The service was warm and friendly, and I was asked many times by a kind lady with a coffee pot if I wanted to refill. Prices were decent too. The surrounding area is conducive for a day trip. There are bookstores, a library, and many other good places to explore around. There's also a really cool mural on the side of the building. I'd highly recommend visiting multple times to explore the entire menu; I certainly will be, coming back witih my friends.

Incredibly tasteless, bland, boring and uncared for food, a truly bittering experience. Reuben was chewy. Had no dressing and was put together with such little regards for quality that it was borderline offensive, almost no meat and a quarter of a piece of cheese. For $20, and I really want to state it again that this pathetic excuse of a sandwich is twenty entire dollars I would expect it to actually have meat and the proper toppings not THREE pathetic bacon sized strips of beef. The potato pancakes where either premade on a factory then frozen and then deep or they froze and reused old ones, they where dead cold in the middle and had a distinct lack of seasoning. The worst culprit. Was whatever lab experiment they called a pickle that was served, it was a cross between a solidified glob of jelly and a rancid cucumber. I have NEVER seen a pickle that looked plastic like this. I had really high hopes for this spot. But it seems that time or success has driven away what once made them a great eatery The worst Reuben in deli history.

Love Love Loved our Sunday brunch here! Honestly nothing but rave reviews to give and highly recommend if you like to eat! lol We started off with the combo plate which features a potato knish, cheese blintz with fresh berries, potato latke over apple sauce and kugal. We also got a pickle plate (best pickles everrrrrr). 2 cups of matzo ball soup to start. One of my sons got the banana stuffed French toast with bourbon cream filling, other son got an omelette with corned beef hash swiss cheese and English muffins and home fries, my husband got a 50/50 corned beef pastrami with swiss on rye and I had a pastrami on marble. It was a feast! The service was impeccable, coffee was delicious and the food was on point. There was easily 30 people waiting outside and we waited an hour to be seated but....it was worth it! I went on a Saturday afternoon, there was a short wait. The staff was incredibly friendly! I ordered the Nova bagel (&lox) and a side of their house made corned beef. They split the dish into two plates and we didn't even ask them. Would highly recommend their all day breakfast and their sandwiches appear to be really good (from eye-ing other tables). Mobility/accessibility: There are no steps to enter and there is wide enough space between tables to navigate a mobility device/wheelchair. I did not notice any wheelchair specific seating. Bathrooms: The bathrooms are located in the back of the restaurant. There's a mens/women's and then a unisex accessible bathroom that is down a narrow hallway. The bathroom itself is large and can fit a parent+stroller or a person in a wheelchair.
