Can-do attitude is alive and well at Boss Shop!

I have an old '85 f350 1-ton diesel hunting lease truck that came to me with 16-ply tires mounted on the stock steel rims. They are are ancient and worn out, but mostly indestructible. One of them finally died, so I took it to Walmart in Uvalde to be replaced with something a bit more civilized. The boys at Wally-world, with their fancy tire machine, couldn't dismount that tire, as it had pretty much welded itself to the rim, and at 16-ply, is just a bit stiff. The folks at Discount Tire and and NTB here in Katy, with their fancy tire machines, didn't even want to try after hearing my tale of woe.

Boss Shop doesn't stock light truck tires; they service big rigs. So they couldn't sell me a new tire, but they were still willing to help me out. The young men at Boss Shop don't have a tire machine, either. What they do have is know-how, can-do attitude, a set of 4-foot tire irons, a heavy-duty bead breaker, and whole lot of elbow grease that they apply with a smile. They wrestled with that tire for a good 20 minutes, and in the end the rim was free, and that nasty old tire lay dead and defeated on the floor.

Do not stop here they will take advantage of you. I stopped had a blowout and asked if they had a tire they could replace mine with the guy said no but he could help put my spare on. He never even looked to see what size tire I had or if he had a tire that would fit my car...Don't they have tires on their sign outside on the building? He told me to pull around back, he was almost done replacing my spare when a girl came out and asked me to come inside. She then asked me if I wanted to pay for disposal fee etc. I asked how much she said $6, then she handed me a bill for $23 for the price of changing out the spare tire, and the disposal fee. I was never told a price for anything prior to work starting on car. Then when I returned to the garage the guy told me I needed to get to a tire shop as soon as possible I wasn't going far on that spare, knowing I already told him I had another 130 miles to go on my trip. I would've happily kept my $23 and rolled around to the other side of the gas station where this establishment was at and found a stranger to help this single mother with 3 kids in the car out for free. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because it was a clean facility but I find your acts unscrupulous and...

Edit: After being robbed, I have proof. Had to go elsewhere after shotty work. This place caused more damage then imagined. And the same part they charged me 285 for cost them 25. DONT TRUST THESE PPL! They had to force the part on so badly that it broke my axel. I will be disputing all charges and filing a complaint with the state. should have read the reviews before I stopped here. But you can't pick where you break down. This was by far the most dishonest place I have been to. Triple charged me what any other place would have. Didn't fix the problem, put a bandaid on it and recommended a different place. And didn't do the other portion of the job at all. BUT CHARGED ME FOR IT.

I just hope other people see these reviews. Go somewhere else. They are SLOWWWW and DISHONEST!

When they called me to pick my truck up.There was not even a technician in the building to explain to me what he had done. The girl at the front desk had to call him on his cellphone to explain to me. Super shady!
