Terrible customer service experience. Cashier saw my kid with me. Asks me to switch carts without leaving a space for my child to sit. He piled groceries into the front of the cart which is the space for my child to sit. I then offered to grab the empty cart in the closed aisle next to us myself to replace the cart for a few minutes while I bag my groceries. He says no because that (closed) checkout lane needs that cart. He then proceeds to watch as my toddler refuses to get out of the cart and into the cart that has no room for him while a line full of people behind us are waiting. This is not the first time this has happened to us. I have also been asked to move my 35+ lb toddler to a new cart whilst carrying a baby in an infant carrier on the front of my body. Other times cashiers have seen me with my children and ask me if I’d like to keep my cart or go grab another one for me which seems like a great, logical solution for both parties and the people waiting in line. No one manages the front, they want you to stand near the freezer but line 1 is near the door everyone in the line isn’t waiting for a cashier it’s chaotic.
