Daniel, Lindsey and all the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I've been there with my daughter to have spa pedis and the wine was a nice touch! Very nice atmosphere and the renovation back in 2017 turned out beautifully. They are what their name is... Very zen! This trip, they have you sign in with an IPad and they remind you in about 2 weeks by text to come back in for a refresh on your hands/feet! Rose did a wonderful job this time and I will request her the next time I go in! This establishment is close to home and they ALWAYS do a fantastic job. I've tried several nail salons in the area and this is my favorite place! 11/9. I had Brian this time (I hope I spelled it correctly). He was excellent! I had a wonderful foot massage and he did a great job on the pedi! Daniel and Lindsey have wonderful associates and they are all very good. This is my go to place and they never dissappoint! 7/5/22 Had another great pedicure! Wendy did an awesome job and I was in and out in about 1 hour. Had a lot to do today, so the quick turnaround time was very much appreciated! Thank you! 1/27/23 Another great appointment at Zen! Today I had Michelle and she was wonderful. She was very thorough and did an excellent job! I always love coming here for a relaxing and beautiful pedicure! 4/13 I decided at the last minute to go for a pedi this afternoon and I picked just the right time to go. I was taken right away. I had David today and he was very good. I love the way my pedi turned out. Zen is a wonderful place to go for a pedicure. Daniel always greets you by name and everyone seems to be in a good mood....gives a nice vibe to the salon! 6/16/23 Another wonderful pedi at Zen! Especially wonderful is the expansion of the salon! Absolutely beautiful! It looks just like some of the high end nail spas in NYC or Europe!!!! They took over Holiday Hair and expanded the salon. And they were busy on Friday. I waited about 15 minutes and went back. Wendy was very efficient and I was out in about an hour. They always do a great job on my pedicure. I love this place and it's so close that it's a win-win for me! 11/9 As usual, another wonderful and relaxing pedi today. I had Katie today and she was very good and very friendly! This time I splurged and got a spa pedi and it was very relaxing! 7/16 I had Jenny today and she did an excellent job. I asked for a simple design and it turned out great. Zen always does a fantastic job on pedis and I appreciate the time and talent of each tech that I get. This is a wonderful salon and keeps getting better! 9/11 I have used this salon for a long time and they never dissappoint! Derrick did my pedi today and he did a wonderful job. Had my normal classic and a design....and now my toes are ready for fall! I just love this place! I always recommend it to anyone who asks me where I get my pedis. Today was my first and definitely my last time coming to this place.

First I wanna say the atmosphere was nice and it really set the tone of a spa. They even offer a complimentary drink which is a nice touch. I went in for a pedicure and opted to also get a manicure too. The tech that did both was Saimy. She was nice but she is incredibly quiet and hard to hear, and she was a bit pushy about what I should do with my nails.

It started with the pedicure. I opted for the spa pedicure as I thoroughly enjoy the extra stuff that comes with it from experiences elsewhere. Straight out the gate, I stuck my feet into an ice-cold foot bath. I mean ICE-cold. So cold my feet were freezing like I stepped in snow barefoot. I asked the girl if there was any way to make it warmer and she told me no, she did not know why it was so cold; however, when she rinsed off the mask that was on my legs at the end, it was scalding hot, so I really don't understand why she could not have made the foot bath warmer. I let it go and tried my best to still enjoy my pedicure then and there. During this entire thing, I was talking to my friend that also was going to get a manicure, with no polish. I said at LEAST 5 times I was going to get a manicure with NO POLISH before I even got the manicure done. There was absolutely no way she misunderstood what I said, because she REALLY tried to sell me on polish, which I declined several times, even when I was sat down for the manicure. Mind you, it's been several years since I received a manicure because I am a habitual nail-biter and always saw no point in getting one done but I figured today I would treat myself. I had no fingernail polish on to start. She starts off with some kind of drill buffer that I thought nothing of because again, I thought it was part of the process. She pushed my cuticles back but did not trim them. She also took a handheld buffer and buffed them also. While she was buffing them, she made a comment about how ugly the shape of my nails were, and that she could never have nails like mine. Throughout the entire process, she tried to convince me to get polish, especially gel, of which I declined again politely each time. By the end of my manicure, my nails were scratched to hell from the drill she used and the handheld buffer did not help. I even went right back in after seeing my fingernails in the sun to have them fixed/rebuffed hoping the scratches would go away. They did not. I asked her if there was any way she could make them look more natural even if it meant painting them despite saying I did NOT want them painted. She tried to convince me my nails already looked like that. I said they did NOT look that way before she took the drill to them. Then she said that next time she would not drill them; she thought I wanted them painted. I was floored. I'm not sure how anyone would think I wanted them painted after I said at least 10 times prior at this point that I did NOT want them painted. After not fixing my nails to my liking, she put a base and top coat on my nails. I am really upset my nails got damaged like that because she did not want to listen and take no for an answer. My nails look worse than they did before the manicure. And she lotioned my hands for all of 2 seconds, like she was in a rush, which was disappointing as well.

Upon getting home, I noticed a LOT of peeling skin left over on my feet and the paint on my toes is really uneven and not cleanly done as it is on my skin in spots. There is still lots of dead skin and more untrimmed cuticles on my hands. For as much as they charge for their services, I expected much better. I am bummed to still have dead skin on my feet, but I am more devastated that my fingernails look so bad which how scratched they got from that drill. I just cannot look past it. So I came here a little over two weeks ago in January to get my nails done. I ended up getting the polygel on my nails and paid well over $42. I came today to get a nail take off because some of my nails were hurting and the nails were breaking. I called before I came as I always do to put in a reservation. The woman on the phone stated,” There’s no more reservations for today because we are fully booked, but if you wanted to walk-in the wait would only be about 5 mins. The total would just be $10. She also mentioned the $10 card minimum, but stated I would be fine since it is exactly $10 to pay with card.” I ended up just walking in and waited under 5 mins, which was great. A guy then came over and said he would take me back to do it. Usually they always ask you if you want something to drink or if you need anything, and he did none of that. Regardless if I was there just for a nail change or not, if that’s something that is always done and was done with everyone else around me, i don’t get why I wasn’t asked. He then tried to use the machine for the take off after I specifically told him my nails were very fragile and hurting, I also mentioned the soak off method due to this issue. He ignored me and continued to use the machine to shave the polish off. I then asked him if I could get my nails cut down since some of them broke. He asked the woman and she stated for polish change it would be $38. All I asked for was cut down not polish change so I politely stated no I would just like to get polish take off. This young Caucasian woman with glasses then came around and confirm totals and she told me that my total would only be $10.53 due to their surcharge, I said okay. I also asked her about the cut down and everyone seemed to be confused today. I was unsatisfied with the service as you can see in the photos he didn’t clean up my nails like I had asked. Or at least cut them down. These are things that in the past have ALWAYSSS BEEN INCLUDED with take off. I’ve been coming here since before the glitz and glam when Zen Nails was just a basic nail salon with 5 chairs along the wall. I do understand things change but I just don’t appreciate being ignored and being met with attitudes when u went up to pay. When I was finished I went to the counter and the girl said my total was now $11. I told her that over the phone one girl said $10, then the girl with the glasses said $10.53, how did we get to $11. It’s like there wasn’t a set price or something. Everyone gave me a different answer for the totals. Very inconsistent and unprofessional. YOU SHOULD NEVER QUOTE SOMEONE ON A PRICE IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF THE CORRECT PRICE!! The girl always had a piss poor attitude and made it seem like I was an issue for asking about why there were so many inconsistencies. I paid and left. Now usually Zen Nails is my go to spot, and I even travel over an hour every time just to come, but today rubbed me the wrong way and I may never come back. ZEN NAILS NEED TO DO BETTER!!
