Fortunoff Backyard Store — Local services in Brookside

I bought a four piece of wicker set back in May 2018 for $3259 at Christiana store in Delaware. Fortunoff seems to show the appearance of carrying high-end lawn furnitures. But don’t be fooled by it. Quality of their furnitures are not what you expect for the price you pay. What’s even worse is the warranty service you get when the furnitures start breaking down. Within less than a year the table wicker fabric started tearing up. And not long after that, same thing happened to the chairs. By spring of 2023 it’s gotten to the point the furnitures were unusable. I finally went back to the store in June 2023 for warranty service. That’s when my long ordeal began. It took me five visits to the store over four months to hear their final say. They don’t call you back as they say they would. They just want you to go away. At the end, I was told that the wicker is not covered under the warranty. It’s the most ludicrous thing I can imagine. They are wicker furniture and the wickers are not covered by warranty. This is about the most disgusting experience I ever had from any kind of customer service desk. These people at Fortuoff sells you overpriced furnitures while giving you the illusion they are higher quality product. Shame on them!!!!! The quality of their furnitures are pathetic and what’s even worse is their after service. At the end of the whole ordeal the store manager promised me to give me 50-70% off a new furniture set. But that was just another lie to sell me another set of their furniture soon to go on a winter clearance sale. They fooled me once but not...

My wife and I were welcomed immediately and told if we had any questions feel free to ask. Not once did the salesman Neil bother us. He allowed us to look around and talk amongst ourselves on what we liked and didn’t like. Once we decided on a possible purchase he than assisted us on our purchase. We decided on a new outdoor bar/ fire pit combo with six chairs. We also every unsure about a umbrella cause of the fire pit however Neil showed us a oversized one that matched and would work perfectly with the bar set during the daytime. Cause of the great deal package that Neil was able to put together for us we decided not to wait for spring to replace our old front porch furniture, we bought 2 single hanging chairs and 1 double hanging chair and cushions. Plus a cover for the bar set in the winter when not being used and the extended 5 year accidental damage warranties. Everything Fortunoff Backyard Store and Neil were great. The deals and financing is great. Can’t wait for the end of winter beginning of spring so we can go and pick out new patio dining set which we already have a idea of which one we want if still in stock and also a patio fire pit set that we liked....

We went to the Christiana store looking for replacement cushions for an existing dining set and lounge chairs. We were impressed by the quality of the product and the ability to coordinate colors between most sets. In the end we purchased more items than we’d anticipated. And then went back the next week for a pool float,some accessories and to exchange a few pillows we picked out that didn’t coordinate as we’d hoped. The delivery drivers were receptive but didn’t handle the “white glove” sevice piece as I’d expected. One chair was broken from the manufacturer and they said they’d need to exchange it later. The store manager Neil did all he could to make sure we were happy and worked with the warehouse to get our delivery corrected the next day. I was really impressed with the level of customer service from the store from Neil and our wonderful saleswomen Monica. Fortunoff is expensive, very expensive! But you get what you pay for and for me, the attention to detail and customer service (which you rarely find anymore!) Is what will make us returning customers in the future.
