I was so excited to learn that a Trader Joe's was opening up closer to me, and then I realized where it was and my heart sank. I absolutely hate the plaza. It's car-oriented hell. The one thing I like about the mall is that you can park in one place and then walk around, get some exercise, it's more pleasant, and it's healthier than driving from point-to-point. Well, this plaza doesn't really make that possible. It's totally designed around the car, with big roads. The other day some of my friends met up at a restaurant on the other side of this plaza and I thought, oh, maybe I could drop by Trader Joe's. I only needed a couple things that I could easily carry in a single bag so I thought, why don't I walk over. Well, I couldn't do that. There was a huge road with fast-moving traffic going down the center of the plaza, and alhough there were some crosswalks, who knows if anyone would stop for them? Most Delaware drivers don't stop, meaning that if I wanted to go over to the Trader Joe's safely, I'd have to get in my car and drive over. What the heck is wrong with the people who designed this plaza? Ugh. I'm angry at Trader Joe's for choosing to locate here and thus choosing to support this style of development. So yeah, I love Trader Joe's in terms of the products they stock, and this one is no exception, but the abysmal choice of location docks this one 2...

I am not a mall person and I dislike the mall area. I want to give it 4 stars just cause I hate the way Christiana Mall track is designed. At the same time I fully understand it is more than likely the best they can do. After that is is up to those on the road to make the experience better.
This location typically has what I need when I need but like all locations getting your hands on organic gallon of milk of any flavor especially the whole and 2% late in the evening. Is like chasing a leprechaun for it's pot of gold. They are typically staffed well and we get out fast. This one almost gives me the upscale rural feel of the Trader Joe's I experienced in Philly near 30th st back in 2009/10. The one in Brandywine has a more lowkey rural feel to it. That's what I feel they are going for the farmer's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTrader Joe's is my go-to grocery store for high-quality products at affordable prices. The store has a unique selection of items that you donāt find at typical supermarkets, including a variety of organic foods, international flavors, and ready-to-eat meals. Their own branded products are often delicious and come at a great value.
The store layout is compact, making it easy to find what I need quickly. The staff are always friendly, approachable, and willing to help with recommendations or find products. I also appreciate the seasonal items and new products that they frequently introduce, keeping the shopping experience fresh and interesting.
Overall, Trader Joe's offers a great mix of quality, value, and service, and it remains a favorite for those looking for specialty groceries without...
