We frequent Jcpenney quite a bit. My wife's father works at the one in Tyler. We are used to a neat appearance and associates asking if they can help you find something. This one is empty. Clothes on the wrong racks, absent employees, etc. I went to the watch counter to ask about some of their smart watches. It took a few minutes to get the ladies attention. Once I did, she didn't speak English. I get we are extremely close to Mexico and all. However, shouldn't you at least have a bilingual employee? After all we are still in America. I get if this was a ma and pa store having a strictly Spanish employee isn't that big of a deal. However, this is Jcpenney's, an American department store chain. The lady was of no help or use to me. Read moreWe have shopped Pennys for many years and until lately our experiences were positive. We just left a Pennys store and today's experience was much like the last several visits in several different cities. Generally good merchandise in clean surroundings but the check out experience has been terrible. Today was typical, that is many people in line to check out and one cashier. It took me 10 minutes to make my selections and nearly twenty minutes to check out....terrible. The cashiers still use hand scanners as opposed to readers (think Walmart) that are infinitely more efficient. I felt soo sorry for the cashier who was working hard with the tools she had. There were several people behind me in line who were grousing over the "log jam". Please....the last experience in any store is often the most lasting and important! Penny's management has lost...
Read moreWell now I know that Sephora is getting rid of all high-end Makeup Products they carry. Apparently they still gonna carry makeup but not the ones you usually buy there if your a frequent buyer. If you care to buy or continue to buy your products will be at the McAllen Sephora Store! And maybe some Online in jcpenney but for sure I was told No. So for those who are closes to buy here is gonna be very inconvenient for you now you will have to drive almost an hour. For those with transportation will probably not have a problem with it. But for those that don't well... idk it's just not that fair for many. I was told they will be selling makeup but different brand and probably not high-end ones. Just FYI was told from a Sephora employee. Guess it was good while it lasted. So whatever they have there...
