Have you ever seen Matilda? Rember the old car salesman guy ? That's how some of these people act. Asking questions is a pain . Everything is the best. Anything else is junk. Just randomly walk away from you . Showed them some pictures from another one of their stores ( they didn't have a problem at that location and were actually very nice, didn't have what i wanted in color . . . ), and told me they don't sell thoese thoese couches and they are junk. Prices say something like msrp, then clearance there always that way then they have an additional price off ect. . . . I haven't been to a place and felt pressure to buy like I did there ( everything was the best but they had no real information . . . repetedley saying im going to look around or im going to come back would not leave me be ,but then when you want help, won't help you, can't find them). Sighing and stuff when asked a question just overall a horrible experience I would recommend to steer clear of this place at all cost. Mabey, I just had a one off experince but I doubt it. Made me feel pretty bad, and that's hard to do. Employee told me how much he hated his life here and hated it there and couldn't wait to get drunk . . . Unprofessional made inappropriate comments about coworkers . It's was pretty much a waste of my time. Even if there was a $70000 couch for a $1 , I would not buy it from the guy I...
Read moreI'm shocked at the 5-star reviews! I entered the Brunswick location, was asked if I needed help. Told the salesman (he didn't offer his name) that I was looking for a sofa to properly fit me - I'm short - and that I was considering Smith Bros. He pointed and said, "Smith Bros is over there." I had to find it on my own. He came back later when I was standing in front of another sofa and proceeded to calculate a price. I told him I wasn't considering that one; it was too big. Again, he pointed and said, "Those are smaller..." No effort at all to assist me in finding something that met my needs. (Just because a sofa is generally small doesn't mean it has a lower seat and/or a shallower seat depth.) I saw an older gentleman walk in using a cane, he must've been in his 80s, and he got the same treatment from a different salesman! Pointing! Oh, and saying, "Don't look at the prices." That's because, for example, the specific sofa I was considering was marked $500 higher than at other stores. When they take some off the price, they want you to think you're getting a deal. I've been to 9 furniture stores, and this was the worst BY FAR. They won't be getting one penny of my $7,000...
Read morePurchased a reclining loveseat in January of 2025. 3 months later It didn't recline anymore because a metal bar snapped. When I contacted the company. They said there was no replacement part because that particular piece of furniture have been discontinued. The customer service department man was rude and when I talked to the manager zach at the store, he said that this piece of furniture was in the discontinued section of the store and was discounted. It wasn't called discontinued when I bought it.It was called in the clearance section. Clearance and discontinued are two different words with two different meanings.I was never told that this piece of furniture was discontinued or I never would have bought it because you could not get replacement parts. They were of no help. They offered nothing and just basically tried to say it was my fault because I bought something from the clearance department. And they wanted to change it to the discontinued department. I was literally told by the service department manager that you get what you pay for and apparently you get substandard furniture from them and no support when their cheap. furniture breaks....
