service was good. the carnitas tacos had good amount of meat. i dont get why the onions cilantro and salsa are presented in dishes instead of being put into the tacos. due to the interesting presentation of the meal i feel it loses its authenticity. the michelada was really good i enjoyed it very much. the tacos were rather bland. the meat was bland even if the portions were good. the toppings were rather bland. the hot sauces on the side were rather interesting and i tried the green version of one of the sauces. i nearly regretted it instantly because the spicyness kicked in and almost kicked me upside the head. the 3 carnitas taco platter was $12.50. the michelada was $8. so the price is also not very reasonable if you compare this place to taqueria guadalajara in columbus the price of this meal is nearly 50% higher. and if you compare this place to any place in california this place is still 50% higher in price. this is a good place to sit and enjoy an average somewhat less authentic mexican meal. dont get me wrong, the staff is authentic and almost comically try to give you an authentic experience by throwing in a few spanish words here and there. dont get me wrong, they provide very good friendly customer service to give patrons a comfortable dining experience. and if i was rating service only i would say service is 5 stars cant complain about the service. maybe my standards for mexican food is rather high because i am originally from california. there was no horchata nor lengua nor buche nor cabeza here. this place caters to the local demographics. some of the painting on the walls were interesting. i did not have bad experience here it was a good dining experience. but i will not say this place is authentic because if i did i couldnt call myself...
Read moreThe "steak" fajitas were incredibly disappointing. I think the picture says it all so I'll leave it at disappointing. I put "steak" in quotes because it is beef, but that does not make it a "steak". The meat was something like a poor quality bottom round roast that needed to be prepared using a crock pot to make it tender. The roast also looked like it had been put through a blender after it cooked for 8 hours because there were 2 maybe 3 pieces larger than a penny. The vegetables were cut into giant pieces and after spending 30 minutes picking out the meat crumbs, it was clear the veggies constitute 80% of the dish... see picture. There is a bit more meat mixed in with the veggies but you can't tell by the pic because it really is crumbs. Unfortunately, I ordered the fajitas for two thinking I'd eat the leftovers and both trays looked exactly like the picture. The other tray may have been worse because the first two bites I took of my tortilla were all vegetable. I hope management reads this because someone there needs to look up the definition of steak, rename this dish, then cut the price in half. It was every bit of a zero star meal and for $27... yeah... we'll just leave it at disappointing.
The reason for two stars is because a friend that ate with us said his enchiladas, albeit a bit dry, were mediocre. I was actually contemplating a third star because my wife's said her meal was okay, but they forgot to put the guac she ordered in the bag (of course they didn't forget to...
Read moreI think this is my third or fourth time going. I had the steak fajitas for one. (They offer fajitas for one or two people) It definitely could have been for two people! The fajitas were very delicious and flavorful, tons of meat and veggies. They're baked beans are better than any I've had anywhere that I can recall. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. Anytime I would look away from the other people at my table one of the other waiters or waitresses would walk directly to us and ask us if we needed anything and if everything was all right. I'm not kidding the service was that good!! On top of that, the bartender came by and gave me and my wife a shot of some very good tequila FOR FREE. (couldn't tell you which brand, but it was very good and smooth, take it from me because I generally don't like or drink tequila at all). I am not suggesting anyone should ever expect anything for free but we did not ask and he walked around and gave several people rounds on the house, AND they were busy so they must be doing well! There are several decent Mexican restaurants in Brunswick and several more in Strongsville and Medina within 10 or 15 minutes and I have to say that this one is without a doubt the best in the area! Please keep up...
