We started using the Service Department at Mountain Ford to service and repair all of our vehicles regardless of the make in the early 2000's. We had moved to Bryson City in 2001 and of course when one moves to a new town every type of service from car repairs to doctors have to be reestablished. We started off trading wiith independent garages. We had bad experiences with several of them, and it got costly! One mechanic destroyed a perfectly good engine due to his decision to set the timing by ear instead of using a timing light as was the standard for that model. It's pretty difficult to totally distroy a low mileage well maintained mid 80's 318 Dodge V8. The things are bullit proof. This dude managed to cause the engine to melt holes in four of the eight cylinders. This was traveling at 60 mph down the highway with the cruise control on. We decided to try the service department at Mountain Ford, figuring that it would be better to pay more to get quality work. Surprize! The costs of repairs at Mountain Ford was actually very reasonable. And we didn't have to take things back repeatedly only to get the run-around. We started to purchase both new and used cars from Mountain Ford and have been very satisfied with our experiences. Overall these folks are very honest, pleasent to deal with, and they know what they're doing. We're very happy to have Mountain Ford in our little town to take care of our automotive needs. We even buy tires and batteries from them. Not only car and light truck tires, but farm trailer tires, boat trailer tires, and RV tires. The prices are very competative. Mountain Ford truely is a full...
Read moreMy family was on vacation in Bryson City when my 2004 Excursion (6.0L diesel w/ 227K miles) started to misbehave. We were able to limp it to Mountain Ford and I described the issue and our predicament, being on vacation - hours from home (for the week). Within an hour, David called to give me options as my turbo had failed. I asked if it could be salvaged/repaired so they quickly pulled it out and took a look. Later that same afternoon, David called back with the bad news that a replacement was needed. He ordered the part immediately but it would be a couple days for delivery. He kept my truck inside the shop over the weekend and called Monday the second it was finished. I was able to drive it back home this morning without any issues.
The amount of communication and care from David was amazing. The whole team at Mountain Ford did a great job diagnosing and repairing my 20 year old Excursion and everyone I spoke to at the dealership was very friendly. I highly recommend the service department to anyone in the area or...
