Home depot in Northern New Jersey is THE WORST. It was next to impossible to obtain the certificate of insurance and to schedule a delivery with my building. After several failed attempts, the appliances finally arrived in two separate orders (even though we called a dozen times to deliver them together) but they were not installed. To install my dryer it took about FIVE separate trips. When I ordered the dryer over the phone, the service rep told me I needed a dryer cord. But they never told me there were different types of dryer cords so when the delivery guys came of course the cord did not fit into my outlet. They just left the dryer there uninstalled, and my tenants had to go to Home Depot in Jersey City to exchange it. Took a few days for them to come back And it was impossible to get in touch with the delivery company and the drivers. We told them they had to come back, they said they would call us that night for a delivery window for the next day. They never called and gave us a delivery window. In the morning they told us, after being on the phone for over an hour, that they would be there between 10 AM and 2 PM. By 3 PM no delivery guys. When we called back we were on hold for a while and they came back and said Hmmm we don’t see you on the schedule today. We were furious. My tenants were furious. After my husband had to tell them someone better show up today, They finally showed up at 5:30 PM. It’s obvious that Home Depot uses a third party for their delivery and installation services, and that third-party probably uses another third-party. There is absolutely no communication and it’s completely laughable. It’s so bad it felt like someone was playing a joke on us. Your processes and systems do not work and they are not talking to each other. Whoever is in charge of this delivery and installation process needs to be audited and then fired. They kept saying they would give us a delivery window and they never did. Every single time and they rescheduled about five times. Then when we called back they said we weren’t on the schedule and it was just a horribly frustrating experience. You guys are pathetic and I will never call you again. We are building a new home and you will not get another...
Read moreDealing here was a nightmare. We purchased a refrigerator. It had to be ordered and was scheduled to be delivered in 1 week. We received our email confirmation and phone call the day before. Didn't sleep after a night shift waiting for them. Nobody showed or called. Called the store and the manager kept telling us we needed to wait until out window was over. It was an hour past our window. Then they make a few calls and accuse us of not answering the phone, stated delivery was attempted. That never happened. Then we had to wait another week for delivery. Went to plug in the old refrigerator and it no longer worked, so an entire refrigerator and freezer of food now gone. Waited for the call for the second time. Finally came after 6 PM. I received 2 emails with 2 different windows. We received a call that only rang once and hung up. We were concerned this was the delivery driver and called. The customer service was confused by there being 2 delivery times on our order for the same day. We finally get the call and the delivery people show. They come in, remove doors and take my old refrigerator and leave it on my porch. When they went to the truck to bring in the new fridge, it's not on the truck. Called the store they insisted on calling me back. Waited an hr and called again. I'm then told they won't have an answer today. By this time I'm beyond mad. I leave for work that evening and get another call around 8:30 from Mike telling me the new fridge was signed for so what do I mean I dont have it. Why on earth would I be on the phone, ticked off, if I had my new fridge? So now I'm stuck with the inability to turn my water on, and a fridge on my porch and delivery guys who just took off. NIGHTMARE!! Then to accuse us of fraud was the tip of the iceberg. Never again!
UPDATE: They never refunded my money. I call and they tell me they can't since they don't have the refrigerator in the Samsung warehouse. It never came to my home, it was never on the truck and nobody knows where it is. They are trying to refuse to refund my money at this point. Would never recommend doing...
Read moreI drove 40 minutes to store# 4171 in Bloomsburg from Lowe’s in Williamsport because of no customer service at Lowe’s. My last visit to this Home Depot was honestly a pleasant experience. I had five conversations with different sales associates and they helped me find exactly what I needed. This time started out the same with a sales associate walking up and down two aisles to help me find what I needed. However, when I got to the checkout, the cashier was less than customer service oriented. All I did was ask if they had a military discount. He said, “Are you in the system?” And when I said, “I don’t know,” he handed me a sheet of paper with a QR code on it. I didn’t want to hold up the line so he said he could put a hold on the sale so he could deal with the one customer behind me. I got extremely frustrated that the QR code sent a code to my email, then a text to my phone, and then gave me an error message. Not once, while I was standing there did he ask if I needed help. He waited on three more customers. Well, feeling like my business was not worth that store’s time, I told him to cancel my sale. Then he asked me if I still wanted the items in my bag. I said I did, but I’m frustrated that I drove all this way, my phone battery was at 2%, and this piece of paper with a QR code on it for military discount was taking me in circles. He didn’t even ask for my ID which I started to pull out. He was definitely not customer service oriented nor a problem solver for a customer. Very disappointed and will think long and hard before ever making...
